yesterday my wifes friend call cuz shes broken down I go to the car and no matter what I try I only get clicks from the starter, so I take my battery out of my Z throw it in( cables didnt work, my kids had done something to them so there were only a few strands of copper) Anyways, the car starts first try. I put my battery back in my z, drive her car about a mile toward my house and POP SKREEK , it dies. so I walk back to my Z, drive home then take her to get a battery and get her car, It wont start, itll crank all day long, sometimes it fires it then SKREEK, dies immediately. had it towed to my house, gonna go mess with it in a while. any ideas?

new to board, need info on a Z car i found, looking for info on it, looks like early to mid 70's car, has a large tail on it, engine has something about racing on the valve cover. just interested in how many if any were made with a racing package and if it's worth it to try to restore.

Im about to buy a 73 240z: maroon, sunroof, 4 speed, new front end of some sort with foglights, 3 piece spoiler, and some cool rust spots. Engine wise: has aftermarket carburetors (2 chrome boxes off the side, what kind are they? any idea?) and supposedly an aftermarket intake. Also has a positraction/lsd rear end, not sure of the gearing....getting it for 400 dollars

Highly non Z related contend, I plan ahead, I drive also a Toyota Previa. The thing is only 12 years old now, but I know that I will have to part with it some day. All the minivans we have here are nice high-tech projectiles with little if no use for me, they lack the "essence" of the mini-van :space! Hell, don't see the point of going faster with my new TD Gizmovan than with my Z ? So I was looking toward good old-fashioned American high-tech. Cavernous space with elephantesk engine. So the only one imported to Europe on regular basis is the Chevy-pontiac Trans sport called also the venture in the states. Any experiment with it, tears... or smiles. Too bad it's so hard t…

Can anyone suggest what to use to remove the remaining pieces of jute that are stuck to the firewall. Is there a solvent anyone knows that will loosen the adhesive and allow this crap to be scraped off??

Needs a wiring harness for the fuel injectors. They had a recall on this model and this one did not get updated as well as I can tell. I've been told the part cost about $100. The plugs load up with gas and flood out. This is a description of a '82 280ZX (Turbo) that is for sale. The current owner doesn't really know what it needs. I know there are two different harnesses. Does this sound like it needs the fuel injector wiring harnesses (the ones that go to the individual injectors) or the entire engine compartment wiring harness? What does it sound like to you? Thanks for any and all help. GG
