   Read this, this could save your life!!!! A 36 year old female had an accident several weeks ago and totalled her car. A resident of Kilgore, Texas, she was travelling between Gladewater & Kilgore. It was raining, though not excessive, when her car suddenly began to hydroplane and literally flew through the air. She was not seriously injured but very stunned at the sudden occurrence!    Well.. I am absolutly going nuts, because I want my car to launch right off the line... but there are advantages and dis-advantages of my goal... Other than getting an different Differential.... Would you Z owners, rather drive an automatic transmission with an high stall speed torque conveter with lock-up? (Lock up=during high rpm's the engine and transmission lock together for a "direct connection") -or- Would you Z owners just drive an 5-speed transmission? *Here are my pros and cons... naturally I plan on someday getting an L28eT.... so an automatic would be great, since my shifts would be faster, and the turbo…

   Do any of you know where someone would look to find a diecast model of a 240Z with the green and beige look? I hear that kyosho is good, but havent been able to find any with that color scheme. I have looked on e-bay and serached online, but have not found any...any direction you guys could point me to would be great. btw I want a high quality model like kyosho makes

   Great news, I got my '72 240Z to start and run for about 2 sec. I put new coil, Optima battery, and ran new power wires to the fuel pump with a carbon fiber guarded switch. I got a back fire through the forward carb. So I'm thinking that my timing or the fire order is off. I have the L28 engine with a 280 distributor, 240 ignition modual, and a 280 cap. (If that helps out with a diagnosis of what is wrong with the car.) Thanks Brian:alien:

    Good day all, I have been having some trouble with my car. First, the battery was dead, the connectors on the starter were coroded, the coil was bad, and the fuel pump was not getting any power. So, I put a Optima Red Top battery, new connectors, coil, and added a carbon fiber guarded kill switch for the fuel pump. Needles to say, I thought I fixed the problem. I bought some "Start Fuel" to spray into the carbs. It worked, for about 2 seconds. Got a backfire through the forward carb and died. My friend said that the timing is off.     Found this add and I'm going to check out the car very soon: 73 DATSUN 240Z, this is the one, over $12,000 invested, body is all metal, eng is brand new, 280 block bored w flat-top pistons, new 5 spd, v gd example, have manuals $8000. Tel: Sounds great in fact I think I might have seen this car before but I'll have to call the guy to find out, and get some pics. I'm planning on driving the car for a bit and then doing an engine swap on it.
