I am looking for someone in Tulsa Oklahoma that would be willing to look at a Z for me. Or if anyone knows of a reputable Z shop that I can have do a PPI that would be great as well. I live in Arizona and need a "long distance" set of eyes. I appreciate any input on this over the weekend. thanks again

I stopped using lead substitute with the original valves. Am I inviting problems? People have told me that if you don't run your engine "hard" that it is not necessary.

Last week I asked about Weber carburetors and decided to keep my SU's which are working just fine. I want to ask people's opinion on investing $390 for a Crane 86-000 cam. The claim is as much as 10% increase in H.P. I assume the valves would require new settings.

The other day I got my 240 out and drove it up to the house to do some power washing on it, (just running after 15 years of storage), it ran fine and I put it back in the shop. Last nite I wanted to fiddle with the carbs and went to start it when it went Klack klack klack with every turn of the engine and I mean it was a real LOUD KLACK! Needless to say the start was aborted and the cause of this sound was looked for. Found it under the valve cover! one of the rockers had come off and was getting beaten by the cam and other moving componets!!! Oil spray tube bent, spring cap dinged up but luckly that's about it. I was able to straighten the spray tube and put things bac…

Hi all, As you may or may not recall, I have put my old Minilite wheels back into service on my 72' 240Z. I love these wheels and really like the look of the the tri-arm knock-off center caps. I have a slight problem though in that I could only find three of them. Sooo....I'm in need of a fourth one and have quickly discovered that these kind of center hubs are difficult to find nowadays. I've done some searching on the 'net and found a few places that might sell something similiar but I have yet to contact them. Before I go a make too many phone calls, I was wondering if anyone here might know of a source where these center caps might be procured. Just so you know,…

Well I did it jinked myself with stating I would not want to be realend in my Z!!!! Was hit yesterday on my famous 2 1/2 hr trip from SDiego to Long Beach. The good thing is it was only a 5 to 10 miles an hour hit but still the bumper is lost, lower real panel lost, real panel the tail light bolt to is good but in about 1 inch. Tail light covers good and hatch opens and closes. To a normal person they will see the bumper and lower panel and that is it. But to us Z heads you can see the tail light panel is in. Hopefully the insurance company will say yes to the repairs.... Anyone have a good shop they can recommend in the Long Beach or San Diego areas? Will post pictures…

This is not a hoax - it really works. Try it for yourself. Google has implemented a new feature wherein you can type someone's telephone number into the search bar and hit enter and then you will be given a map to their house. Think about it-if a child, single person, ANYONE gives out his/her phone number, someone can actually now look it up to find out where he/she lives. The safety issues are obvious, and alarming, depending. . . This is not a hoax; Mapquest will actually put a star on your house on your street. In order to test whether your phone number is mapped, go to: www.google.com and type your phone number in the search bar with dashes (i.e. 555-555…
