For any of you living near San Jose there's an 83 280ZX Turbo in the N San Jose Pick n Pull. The engine and tranny look complete but I tore the flange off the differential for my T5 swap. Just a heads up for anyone.

Hey, hows everyone doing? Ive been real busy but its payed off, we (me + my dad) have managed to build a rotisserie which works very very very good, we bought a welder (MIG) a couple of weeks ago and have used it for all the operations. Now that we have the car with its belly up we can start fixing the rust ( a rew spots of rust on the chassis rails) then we can start straightening the chassis rail because there are a few dents in it from an obvious accident. Ill post a few pics up of the rotisserie and a few pics of the chassis rail and a few spots of rust affected areas. If anyone can give me a few tips that would be great.

Anyone have grand Z plans for the long weekend? I do. I figure, if I can get 8 hours total between now and Monday morning, I can strip the undercoating and re-install both front fenders and then prime the entire car. That is my goal. Any extra will be spent dropping the diffy and susp off this POS 73 in my garage so I can GET IT OUT OF HERE AND GET MY WIFE OFF MY CASE!!!!! (Keith, you are so lucky) Anyone else have Z plans? steve77

Need to know what size hex fits the head bolts on pre 74' and 83 ZX motors. I assume that the 83 ZX has a hex head bolt as well. Thanks in advance , :stupid:

Well guys this is my beginners Flash Website. It's not got alot of info on it, it's mainly just a page I constructed for school and didn't get to spend too much time on with all my other subject demanding time but I hope you like it. Any suggestion, comments plz I'd love to hear what you think and how it could be improved. Please be nice :classic: . Also it's a geocities site and I've put it under a free page so it might exceed bandwidth here and there as a flash page is about 1.5mb not exactly small due to the way I incorporated the imaging something to work on. :stupid: Anyway Enjoy! www.geocities.com/gavin_doolan/

I'm looking into buying either a highly tuned stroker or Turbo (even twin turbo). Which one is capable of the most Horse Power? I figure a stroker will produce more go power off the line rather than waiting for the turbo's to spool up. I'm leaning more towards a stroker and thoughts? It'll be going into my old 71 parts car. She's ready to handle major power (new stronger solid rails). I've replaced the gas tank with one from a 78Z and ran bigger fuel lines. She'll see some track time when able to. Thanx in advance for all your advice -Brandon

I was curious.. has anyone attempted swapping an diesal L28e from the older Maxima's..(810's)... 1981-1984? Because they have L28's but are diesal, I figured maybe someone attempted this.. Would there be any advantages to this other than not having to replace the sparkplugs since there are none?

I want to swap a sr20det into a 72 240z but I'm worried about replacement parts. I know the sr20de and the sr20det have interchangeable parts but what about the electrical sensors. Where do you find a throttle position sensor or an oxygen sensor or any other electrical piece of junk that will fail over time. I've done a lot of research on this engine and I could definitely do the swap. I'm worried about what might happen in a year or so when a sensor goes bad and I cant find the part anywhere. Also, is there anyway you can hook up a scanner to an sr20det so you can check sensor readings. I've found it very frustrating working on an obd1 vehicle due to the poor sensor…
