lead or not to......?

Howdy all, I am the 2nd owner of a '71 20. The original owner was fanatic about this beauty and religiously used lead additive when running un- fuel. Is it necessary? The car will be living in Massachusetts for a while and I can purchase 94 octane at the corner sunoco. Will the higher octane solve the problem of no lead? I'm not sure I understand purpose of the lead additive. The silver bullet is originaly from Cali, then Az and has no emission control type equip.

Previous Owner = LIAR As I was driving my Z today I got to wondering about the tranny, don't ask me why, so I tried to shift into what would be 5th gear. Holly crap!!!! It went into gear!! According to the previous owner NO modification were EVER made to the car yet not only does it has a header but now it has a 5-speed! This coupled with the fact that the shop that they said they took it to for the inspection does not exist leads to my first statement above. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about the header it saves me from having to get one and the same with the 5-speed. :classic:

Hello all. I am in the process of looking at different engines for the 240. Could I get an idea of what kind of performance you guys get (0-60, 1/4 mile) and what kind of mileage you get? I was also wondering, how would I go about getting an s20 (the dohc) if possible at all, and how much would that run, moneywise. Thanks in advanced for the information.

Who out there has had any battles with a porsche and how was the outcome? The reason that I am asking this is, I am having the age-old argument with a bunch of buddies that a porsche will CONSTANTLY waste a Z. I personally have a problem with this since I have met and contested many Porsches. I need to get some feedback on this, these guys are SOOOOOOO confident that we suk that I could use an airline barfbag. Bring it on... B

God this stuff works great!!! WAYYYY better than Foaming Engine Brite or whatever. Just the aeresol cans of oven cleaner. Found it at a local grocery discounter for .99 cents a can. Spray it on, it foams up, let is sit and hose off. Greasy grime just falls off! steve77

Rubber Seal Kit for 240Z from VB

I'm looking at buying the rubber seal kit from VB for my 240Z but it does not look quite right. For instance on the rear hatch there is only on seal on the body but they show an inner and outter seal in the kit. Is this something that changed in the later 240Z models, is mine missing one of the seals (does not seam to be room for another one in there), or what? I desperately have to replace the hatch window seal and figure that while I'm at it I might as well do all of them as time and necessity dictate so buying the kit is a much cheaper way to go.
