I recently spoke to another member here about parts on other datsuns that are identical to the ones used on the zed. He happen to mention that 120Y door handles are the same as early zeds. Is there a listing of parts anywhere of interchangable parts between different datsuns to the zed. I'm sure the manufacturer used many and such a list could make it easier and cheaper to locate some parts.

I was curious... has anyone heard of a Padel Shift... like on the new Ferrari's and Lambo's??? Its basically an Manual transmission, but with no clutch pedal... so it's basically an Automatic, but it doesn't automatically shift for you, all you have to do is basically shift the car by yourself w/o a clutch. They do this because it gains an advantage in faster shifts which equalls faster acceleration and better times Most newer automatic cars have this feature sorta... but you can also put it in drive and it automatically shifts for you.... which padel shifts can't do. So.. I was wondering... either... Is it safe to "padel shift" my automatic transmission? I have read l…

I know there are some of us with mechanical skills and knowledge that is other than form our beloved Z cars. Here is what I have a question about . Does any one know of a pressure switch that can be taped into the port of the oil sending unit maby throu using a tee fitting . The object is to have a switch that can be intergrated into the wireing thru a relay that would close when there was oil pressure say of 10 or 15 lbs . When closed current then would flow to the electric fuel pump and start fuel running. This way if there were a oil pump failure the engine would quit before damage would occure , hopefully. More inpotantly if in the case of a crash or a turn over when …

Hello I am trying to ascertain what level of pollution gear (if any) the 1974 Australian spec 260z got. I know that the full set-up (as seen in the USA in 73) was introduced on our cars in 76. I am also trying to ascertain if the same model/spec car got the carbon cannister which is mounted in the engine bay besides the radiator on the drivers side (note RHD). I think that this cannister was part of the pollution gear. I use to own a 75 260z 2+2 (complianced 07/75) and it had the carbon cannister but it had none of the pollution gear intact; it may have been removed by a previous owner though. Can anyone send me photos of an original Australian spec 74 260z engine bay, or…

hey, Im looking for a 240z rigtht now, trying to find a running car with a decent body that I can fix up. Anyways, is there anything in particular that I should be careful about or look out for when buying a 240? It's pretty hard to find 240s and may end up with 260s or 280s tho, but the ugly bumper on them will be replaced asap if i get those year cars.
