Hi all... I need to get a spec sheet showing the "stock" settings for a Weber 32/36 DGV setup for a 260-sized motor as a baseline for repairing the poor jet selections made by the previous owner of my race car. Presumably, this should occur BEFORE I lean the motor out too far and burn the dang thing up! Its a 2400 bored .030 and stroked with an L28 crank (maybe an LD crank?), E-31 head, N36 intake, 272/272 crank with unknown lift, unknown compression ratio. It *will* run on 91 octane and but prefers race gas. At the moment it runs waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too rich at idle and up to 3000 (which it really revs to extremely fast) but just loses a ton of horsepo'r past 3500. …

thanks for helping me with my trans. a week or so ago.i took it out and check the gearing and it was not correct..very stupid of me to not have doublechecked before i put it in...that is usually my mo-mode of operation...took it back tosalvage yard as 5th was giving me grief too...checked the new/old one and the gearing is correct....ust waiting on seals/gasket to put it in.---thanks again.-----thanks zracer for posting it here...if not i would have probably left it in and it would have been a thorn in my side forever...exactly what i have been n trying to avoid....if all goes well then next will be brake upgrade...then tok.springs/struts/..then body/paint...then watch ou…

well i had fun tonight. i pulled into the local sheetz (convenience and gas station) for those that dont know. well everything was all fine and well with the car till i get done doing what i had to do then i hop in and was ready to go. well so i thought:ermm: i start the car, she fires right up then bluh bluh bluh and done. im sitting there thinking ok what just happened:cross-eye then i notice i dont hear the fuel pump running, great!!:mad: so i hop out, this is like the local young person hangout in town too, i have the hood up and everyones looking, i get under the car to check the connections, all is well, check the relays all is well so im like ok whats going…

greetings, i stumbled across your forum by accident. i love z cars. the first car i ever drove was my mom's shiney new '77 4spd, i hope she never finds out about that... i drive a big ole dodge pu now but i sure do miss having a z around. mom had new '74 and '77 z's. i've had a '80zx and a '78 until '95 do you folks mind if i hang around a little and get caught up on the z world? thanks, Richard
