Hi all, If you would care to, swing your browser over yonder to here http://photos.yahoo.com/landmissle and open up the folder called "70 240Z". You can also check out my Mustang if you would like.... Anyway, I would like to get your opion on the going market value for this Z. I've talked to the owner and the following was relayed to me: He's the orignal owner. Car is nearly all orginal. Original paint, engine, tranny, interior, etc. Only consumable parts replaced (i.e., shocks, tires, filters, etc) and most of those with Nissan parts. Just under 100K on engine with no rebuild. Carbs have been rebuilt. No accidents or rust. But then does mention the car had…

Hi All, My brother-in-law has a 240 that he has offered to me for free if I will come and get it. It is a '72 with an automatic. He left it with me for awhile about 6 years ago when he was still in the army and shipped out overseas. I did a lot of work on it for him as he is not mechanically inclined. I was a member of this club back in the 90's and still have a membership in the IZCC. I am actually debating whether or not I want the car back. He says he has been driving it regularly for the last year, but I'm sure it will need BooCoo's of work. Doors are rusted, needs new floors, hatch rusted, etc. When I had it before it had lots of problems like American nuts and bolts…

alright, Looking for some advice..... my GF and I have a 97 Explorer sport, 5 speed manual, 4wd, 4.0 OHV that has just passed 120,000 pretty flawlessly, However I am noticing now that at times its very tough to get into gear. No gear specifically more than the others however there are times where it's rather difficult Once you are on the move and shifting it just doesn't seem as fluid. Does this sound like a shift fork or Synchro issue? I think there are two diff types of manuals in these one being from mazda? Has anyone ever had one these open?

Does anyone from "way back in the day" know what the available ratios were for a NISMO 5-speed tranny for the 70-73 Z cars? I just bought a 73 240 Z racecar and it came with a Nismo 5-speed for a spare. The serial number is listed as NMCD 2#. Any help would be appreciated. Much thanks, photos coming soon! Eric aka ZMunkey

I just checked out the Regional Discussions. There's one bloke alive and well and living in Asia; I think the U.K. has gone to Europe for a holiday; Europe has reciprocated by going to the U.K.; USA Eastern, there's no one home; USA Central, only one bloke's awake and, USA Western, The alarm clock didn't go off. As for good old Oz, well, it seems we have a lot to talk about 'cause we're all having a great time down here. Rick.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep my gas tank clean and rust free while I restore my car. I took the tank off and drained it. Now it's sitting on the shelf. I was wondering, if I do nothing will it rust on the inside? What should I do?

Hello, It has been 20 years since I sold my 240 Z, what would it cost to buy a fully restored Z car that is bone stock?

Found this on Ebay. What do ya'll think? Worth the money being asked? 12K for a car with less than 9000 miles on it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2413271721&category=6187

Alrighty, don't get me wrong. I'm sure that "Butterscotch" was the height of fashion back in '73, and it looked alright when paired with my original green paint. But now my z is yellow and I'm looking to go black inside. The daimond vinyl is in exceptionally good shape, and I'd rather not pay a fortune to replace it. Soooo, my question is regarding these upholstery spray paints I've seen. Any feedback on whether these will cut the mustard for vinyl interior, or am I stuck with the clash, or a hefty replacment bill? Appreciate any thoughts...

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you all that one of our members was in what sounds to be a bad accident Friday night in his '73 240Z. The member is fstr240z and his sister told me today that he is in ICU with internal bleading. She did not say any more except to include a pic of the car where the impact occured...driver's door. She asked that I keep him in my prayers and I thought that you all may want to do the same...one can never have too many people pulling for them. I have attached the pic of the car just so everyone can get an idea of just how serious his injuries could be.
