Set those VCR's. I saw in the newspaper today that the "Nissan's Sporty Z Car" will be on the History Channel at 9:00 am (central time) next Saturday. I'm sure that the History Channel runs the same shows coast to coast just different times.

Since I'm a relatively younger person here and I wasn't even around when the 300ZX came out, I have no idea what the world was like in the early 70s when the Z arrived. After the Z Nationals here in Australia a question has popped into my mind regarding the paint quality on some of these cars. Some of them were absolutely amazing to look at, jst because the paint was so incredibly good. I've never really thought about it before but how good was the paint on these cars when they came out of the show room? Paint technology has come a long way in the last 30 years I'm sure, but how much exactly I'm not so sure about. Can any of you wise people explain how good the paint wa…

Well after more than four months of body and paint I finally got my Z back today. It looks amazing. I went with a multicoat (5 total) single stage paint. This paint would put a Porsche to shame. I am so happy with the way it turned out. Check out the photos on my website. They really dont do it justice. I am going to take the next year to reassemble and hopefully have it ready for the Z car nationals in Orange County next year. http://66.155.22.117/paintedZ.htm Enjoy.

well as some of u might remember my last problem was well what i thought at least was the distributor, well i converted over to a complete electronic ignition, 73 distributor with ignitor set up with flamethrower coil, anyways i put it on, car still wouldent run but sparked really hot, so this spring break week i had off i pulled the timing cover and everything else u have to in order to get it off,re did the timing chain because when the engine was built it got put together backwards, on the exhuast stroke instead of compression stroke, so i get that correct and adjust all the valves put everything all back together (finally) sprayed the su's with some engine starter flu…

I'm thinking of purchasing my first z car. I don't really know too much about the car, but from my experience with landcruisers, forums are a great place to start. What should I look for in an early 240, or 260? I'm thinking of getting one, because I want a small, fast car. The landcrusier just doesn't cut it. How are they maintenance wise? Are parts available? ...that sort of thing. Thanks for helping me out.. Blaine

Has anyone of us used this product ? If so what is your openion as to is success in stoping rust when applied as the maker says. Here in Ore. the state is using it on bridges and lightstanders even when exposed to the salt air along the coast. I would hope they have tested it first. POR -15 is great but this stuff is alot less money and mainly it is much less trouble to use. I have had it recommended to me to use on the sand blasted and bare metal on my Z, but I just wanted some other input from a user of the product. One thing of this product is that it can be applied just like regular paint , and over surface rust that is free of oil and dirt and loose scale. That is…

See the attached image for my latest art work. I am seriously thinking about designing one for the Classic Z car. My question is what would you pay for a full size art print? I use a collage style so it would have pictures of z cars, logos, etc not just 1 car. Current Picture I am Working On
