I don't recall seeing this in a current post, so here is some important info for all. If you have a fire extinguisher in your home, garage, shop, car, or wherever, pay attention to this recall notice. https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2017/kidde-recalls-fire-extinguishers-with-plastic-handles-due-to-failure-to-discharge-and

Come on Z folks we need a representative to sign up. I'm tempted to follow at a distance! The entrance fee ($34000) was a bit steep in my mind. Maybe be not for some of you guys. This was for a two man team. Dave you down? I'm sleeping in my car! http://endurorally.com/pages/trans-america-2018-route

The search for worthwhile 14" tires may have improved with the re-release of Yoko's Advan HF type D from the early '80s. Initially they're only available in Japan but distribution should reach other countries as well. For reference, 20,000 yen is about $176 US. https://jalopnik.com/yokohama-brings-back-a-1980s-tire-so-you-can-make-your-1819844548 http://www.advan.com/goods/online-shop/hf_typed.html

I have a charge light coming on my other car, but only at RPM above idle. I checked the system with a meter, and at idle speed voltage is 14.3, but anything above that and it drops to no charge. The reverse of the typical bad regulator or alternator problem. Kind of weird to see. Anybody have any guesses on what might be bad? It's a Ford truck, with the replaceable regulator attached to the back of the generator. There are quite a few videos pit there about replacing the regulator and/or brushes but I'm new to Ford land so don't know what works well. Still leary of remans and Ford truck parts are expensive.

I drove to Chipley, FL Friday to get 96 pounds of green jumbo peanuts. 10 hours, 600 miles me and the dog. I don't think my dog had much fun though. The picture looks fake but I promise they are that fat. Only available in October, south Georgia and Alabama, north Florida. I had some at a wedding earlier and just had to have my own stash. Boiled half Saturday and the other half Sunday. Sea salt, Zatarain's spicy crab boil, 8 green jalepenos sliced lengthwise. Boiled 3 hours then let them soak 4 hours. Put them in a refrigerator overnight and bagged them up in gallon Ziplocs. I have a deep freezer with 45 bags in there. Maybe I'll still have some for Atlanta…

So, I'm pretty damn excited for the next Star Wars movie: The Last Jedi. I like how modern movies are taking things to a more realistic level where you can relate to the characters, just like the original series... You've probably seen the trailer, but, if not, here you go:
