One of my clients alerted me to a Z car that he had seen while giving a co-worker a lift to work a couple of months ago. He told me of this car on Friday and we agreed to go look at it yesterday (Saturday April 12,2003). I was both shocked and puzzled as to why someone would leave an old Z out in the elements and not drive the car. The owner is a 73 years "young" man who bought the car about 15 or 16 years ago (I have not seen the title to verify this). The owner told me that he is the third owner of this car and that the second owner sold it to him in Northern Virginia after his son got into an accident with the Z which dented the front bumper and hood. I see a lot of people using their pet photos as avatars, which I interpret as them being special members of the family. Today, I had to put my dear Bulldog Tibbs to sleep after a long bout of kidney problems. It is never easy making a decision like that, but his quality of life was so poor it was for the best. In the end, he began having seizures and refused to eat and could not even keep down water. I will miss his easy-going nature, and how he always stayed by my side while working on the Z or raking leaves in the yard. Working on the car will not be the same now that my helper is gone. I know you guys have this at your fingertips, so could someone tell me if I can research the car? The color plate has been painted over and I don"t want to hit it with chemicals to clean it until I see if there are other avenues. I think it should be red!

I can't believe you closed the thread... I'll start off from page 3 then.... Point well taken. Regardless, whoever buys it knows, or I hope will understand no matter what he/she decides to do with it, it will need a going over. That speaks for any car that sits for a long time no matter the mileage. Not for $^!# sakes but for safety sakes too. Everything that Z needs and with the right mechanic or do-it-yourselfer with patience this would be a perfect fixer-upper over the some weekends. All the parts are still available (that it needs). For a Z that would be obtaining some nice 17X8 wheels I have a question. What type of backspacing would be needed? And 1.0 inch lowering Eibach springs are supose to be good, what struts are good. After searching around it seems that coil overs or thinner struts are necesary to fit 17x8 wheels. Anymore info or confirmation of mine would be apreciated.
