Well, my car is about ready at the shop (close to $7000 in mechanical work alone) and I need to think about insurance before driving it much. I currently only have liability with Allstate. I've looked at previous discussions of this topic and am guessing I need "agreed upon value" insurance. I called Hagery and talked to a nice young lady. After several minutes of discussion about how the value would be agreed upon it seems that they're of no use to me. They seem to think that you're only going to go to car shows and drive on Sunday afternoons. No trips to work or the grocery store are allowed (well, I think she actually said I could drive to work twice a year). I'…

Thanks for any help.

When i open the doors it just feels terrible. it is on a 71. i think it comes from the peice that cotrols the door angle stops. you know when you open the door and you can feel it go thru a couple of notches. everything works but feels bad you know? i am not explaining it right but maybe someone knows what i am talking about. is there something i can replace, or is that the way it is? tks

I am looking at getting my family's old 71 240z back on the road. It has sat (or rotted) in a garage for about 15 years now and I want to run the attached picture by you guys to see if the rust I have found is something that would make any sort of restoration impossible. The body was redone back in mid-80s, so the rust around the wheels, etc was dealt with. Since then some of the edges of the sheet metal to the lower half of the car is beginning to rust, but this does not concern me too much. The rust that concerns me is located behind the right front wheel inside the wheel-well. It appears that the frame is rusting apart (more than the wheel-well itself is ru…

Well I just got back a few weeks ago from a great trip to Hong Kong and Southern China. Wow! Its been far too long! I grew up over there when I was a kid, and moved back to the States when I was 20. Great times. In any case I had the opportunity and went over there and visited friends and family (my parents and sisters live over there). Too much fun. Hong Kong has really not changed much since I was a local. Sure the money has changed a bit and the flag is different now that China is in charge, but other than that, everything is pretty much as it was. This SARS thing is definatly getting alot more exposure (pardon the pun) than it needs. Hey, I am fine. I took about 400 …

Check this out: I got a roll of that blue Saran Wrap today at the grocery and applied it over my headlights and trimmed it VERY neatly. It looks SOOOO cool. Hell of a lot cheaper than e-code blues too. steve

both shows had Ds/Ns...Adam Corolla had a replica of the '71 BRE along w/ John Morton, the winning driver of the orig race car. they went into the Nissan Dream Garage & talked about the 1st Fairlady & focused on Steve Millen & his career, the IMSA car from '88 & then ended it w/ the Irwindale Speedway Drift contest. & the "The Run" of the 350Z was shown on Sat's show, it was at least 3mins long. all i can say is that if you missed it, the show may get rerun next weekend, 12:30pmEastern/11:30amCentral on Saturday & 12pm/11am on Sunday - TNN is known to mix up the import shows.
