Can anyone tell me where the fluid in the resevoirs for the carbs goes? These are round-top carbs. Does it evaporate or leak out somewhere, burn up? How often should those things be topped off? I'm mostly a weekend driver so it's not getting daily use. Thanks

In Wick Humble's book on "How to Restore your Datsun" on page 74 he says the first thing is to remove the glove box. Is this procedure necessary to remove the dash? I already have the wire harness that goes to the engine & rear of the car out. Also the heater controls and the A/C. I think I'm almost ready to try and remove the dash when I noticed this in the book.

While in my continuos parts search the last few weeks I called a local resource for cams and was infornmed that they could make pretty much any cam I want for 50 bucks and a 30 dollar core, these are regrinds but from past experience in chevies they seem to work great and not wear as fast or any faster than a "new" camshaft. If yer lookin for a cam ya might wanna look up delta camshaft in tacoma wa.

Ok, I have a trip coming up to Bend, Or. The master cylinder in my '71 is only operating the front brakes at this point.... At the bleeders on the master cylinder there is just no pressure to the back brakes, but plenty to the front. I have my '73 car, but the master cylinder is different, the resivors are reversed. Dose anyone know if I can switch the master cylinders over if I switch the plumbing as well? The '73 car has great braking... Thanks for the help, I can get a master cylinder for $48. It's just $ are tight and I'm weighing all my options before I part with the $$$. Thanks all, I appreciate it, I need to do this today as I leave in the morning and will ha…

This may be a stupid question, sorry if it is, but I was wondering if there is a place to go online to buy some of the more unique screws that are used, in particular I am looking for the little black ones that hold that metal trim piece that sits between the windshield and dash board on the 240. Is this a screw I should call a dealiship to look for? Bart 1971 240

well, after a long time the zoom project car (1jz-gte engine) is on its way to me, on a very long boat trip! I'm sure there will be some more fun to come when it arrives getting registered and through customs etc though! Have a look at my gallery for some recent pics, the car now produces 200kw at the wheels @ 11psi (on an aussie dyno), which can be set up to about 14-15 psi. Should be fun!! if anyone has any questions about the car let me know, I've tried my hardest to find out as much as I can. thanks to doco for giving me the contact! cheers all.

Hi all, all this chatter of the new 350Z and V6 vs inline 6 engines, and gossip of having V8 engines in S30 zed cars.... did you know that the factory actually also tried the 240Z with a V8 President engine!!! In Brian Long's book he wrote that they found it "although very fast, the weight of the unit affected the handling"
