What's the original plating on the engine parts called? I'm talking stuff like the trouble light, screws, throttle linkage etc.. I'm not sure but is it "Zinc Chromate"?

Hello all, Can someone tell me if the strut housings are the same in the '71 and the '75ish? I have a trip coming up, got the car aligned and they tell me that the front passenger strut is tweaked 2 degrees. It's no suprise, them previous owner said that he smacked a curb on that side... They look the same but figured I'd ask to make sure before I tear into it, I have to leave on Sunday... Thanks all, have a great day! Brian

just found out why my engine was making an incredibly bad noise yesterday, it wasnt what i thought it was (stuffed bottom end bearing ), the flywheel was coming loose at a rapid rate! so heres my question, does anyone have a really light flyweel attached to their car? what are the driving characteristics? will it drop its revs to quickly during up changes? stall easily?

What are the pros and cons of the different materials ? I am seriously thinking of a air dam for my 240 and they come in fiberglasss and urethane as most every one knows. Price is not the issue here . I have heard that the urethane are flexable but do flex to the point that they are not effective is this so ? If they flex to this point is it difficult to keep the paint from cracking? What I specificly am looking at is Motor Sports 50- 1402 and 1411 thanks for your input . I am not looking as a racer but as a driver that would like the stability improvement for the ocassinoal faster travel . Gary PS also to show a ricer the tail lights once in a while.

i have a 71z that has p215/60r14 rears, and p195/70r14 in the front. Now when i have two people and i am driving fast and hit a bump in the road the rear tires will scrape the wells somewhere. i have heard you guys talking and i dont believe that tire size should be a problem. So if that is true then i need new springs right? could shocks be the problem it does not seem to bounce that much. so i found some performance springs at the z store that say they lower the car about an inch. wouldnt that make the problem worse? am i stuck getting regular stock shocks? tell me it ant so! jason
