Went to the Sydney Ferrari club drive day at Wakefield Park about 200km from Sydney last Sunday and amongst other cars there was a 365 Daytona. The similarity in shape with the Z is amazing. Those Italians are very good at copying!! At least I had the right number which made some of the Ferrari drivers envious. g260 http://www.wakefieldpark.com/site/frameset.cfm

Is the highlighted modification in this picture a DIY thing, or can I buy this kit somewhere ... i´ve seen it on several z cars and I was wondering if this is something you add if you have rims that are to wide/big to fit the standard wheelhouses or if it´s just a styling thing. I want to do this to my own Z so please give helpful answers. sincerely / Linus L, Lulea, Sweden

You BLOODY RIPPER !!!!!!! The first of April and I did NOT get caught. (To be fair about it, I didn't leave home). HOWEVER !! I am certain that there are those among our illustrious group who DID get caught with an April fools joke. Our local radio station gave out with a news flash that a semi had overturned on the roundabout, that it was loaded with cans of beer and cartons and loose cans were strewn all over the roadwaythen sat back to count the cars turning up at the accident scene. So, come on, fess up, be truthful, tell us how YOU got GOT!!! Rick.

I am in the interesting situation of going from auto to manual and with so many different combinations of diffs and boxes I'm confused as to what to do. Basically, I want to end up with a kick-ars road car that also travels on the Highway at reasonably low rpm. Any ideas? One guy said just to change the box from the current auto to a 280zx manual and all would be sweet. Would this make it sluggish off the line though?? Is an r200 LSD really worth the $$$'s???? Help!! I'm SO confused....:stupid:

Ok, just wondering all, how available are Z's to everyone to purchase? i know here in NY there's usually not too much of a problem finding a Z in good shape for a reasonable price. i picked up my 78 280 for 1200 bucks and only spent a total (including the car) of 3,000 bucks to get her to a point where i was happy.. that included rebuilding the motor, tranny, stripping paint, body work, paint, suspension.... that 3,000 bucks was before i decided to go over to dell's

:( My 260Z has a standard L26 engine. The tacho reads 2000 rpm at 60 kph. Seems a little high to me, what do you who are more knowledgeable think ????. Rick.

I have just now driven past a red 280Z for the fourth time...poor car it is sitting at the side of the freeway...went past it sunday and it is still there today (tuesday)..its red and looks ok... It is situated about 3km south of the Picton exist...I live in OZ about 90km south of Sydney and the car is on the freeway that goes from Sydney to Melbourne...its not a very nice place to leave your car as they tend to disappear piece by piece over a short time.....

OK guys, Tomorrow I'm going down to MSA to buy a new clutch. I'm going to buy one of the Centerforce Brands. Question...What are the differences between the Centerforce I, Centerforce II, and the Centerforce Dual Friction? What are the Pro's and Con's, and what do you guys recommend. I'm looking for some good performance but i'm not a racer. Thanks!

I am about ready to give up on my Z. The constant maintenance is killing me. I did finally get 90% out of the insurance company for the guy who tore up my front end. Too tired to argue over 10%. On the way home my rear brakes went dead and pushed it to a gas station. Fluid leaking all over the place. More repair bills. A check for $2,000 for the accident so may just get rid of this Z and look for a new one. I think mine is cursed.
