Since I have a difficult time determining what time it is where some of you all live and feel that I'm not alone, I've included a link here to a web page that'll give you the current time of anyplace around the world. It sure beats buying 24 clocks to represent each time zone! If you think this is a useful enough tool to post on our site, let Mike know and maybe he can incorporate it into the site somewhere. Mike, I hope I'm not being pushy here. http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

Diff and Trans oil for manual units . I was just wondering and wanting some input on the different brands of this stuff . To start with is Amsoil really better than the others ? Is synthetic beter to use? I am asking for info from actuall use not from adds. I know that the products have advanced since '73 when the manuals were printed. :classic:

Maybe I'm being overcautious, but I'd like to KNOW that the 5-speed from my 73 240 will plug-and-play in my 77 280. I originally thought that 5-speeds were not available in 73 (and the existing 5-speed in the 73 was a previous owner modification). However, the Haynes manual indicates "Type FS5C71A" as an available 5-speed on 240's and 260's. From 77 on, the Haynes manual identifies "Type FS5W71B" as the optional 5-speed. Questions: 1- Do identifying marks exist on the main casing or rear extension housing (or anywhere else for that matter)? 2- If my 73 utilizes the older 5-speed, is it still plug-and-play with my L28?

Is there an amp. difference in alt. between a 1972 240 and a 1975 280. If yes, then what. Would I need to follow the conversion guides out there like they have for the 280zx models?

Never seen this look before and obviously all custom. I kinda like how the full panel looks for the tail lights. Dont care for how the bumper looks.

My gas tank is shot but I've had a hard time finding a decent tank for a replacement that isn't insanely priced. I was looking at Summit and they've got fuel cells for around $150, which with the cost of the s.u., lines, would be about the same as a used tank. (My orginal lines are shot also) I'm not concerned about the size of the cell because I won't be driving the car too much. Is it worth the trouble of installing a fuel cell or should I just pay up for a decent tank?
