Ok, i am sure that it is something simple, but a mechanic i am not! I droze my Z on Friday, not one thing wrong with it at that time. Parked her in the garage and today, it won't even turn over. I have power from battery, lights work even the annoying buzzer from the ignition works, but the car won't even turn over!! Starter? Voltage regulator? How do i trouble shoot this?? Please help, Thanks Paul

Here is the latest Z I am looking seriously at. It is a '70 240 #4804 which is all original with 77,000 miles. It even has an original radio in a box ready to go in the dash. No rust anywhere except for some very small surface rust under the battery. There are no blisters on the car. It was painted by a guy that does old Chevys in Stateville, NC last summer. I am going to try and go look at the car sometime this week. Here is the car.

OK... just bought an auto '73 240z after 9 months looking for a car..phewww!!! Anyway, I have a friend who also has a 73 auto and there are a few interesting differences that have left me confused... Similarities between the cars: Both Silver Both Auto Same year Differences: His delivery date is 2 months AFTER mine and yet the engine number is BEFORE mine in the sequence His speedo is in MPH, mine is in KPH. Mine has red interior, his has black interior. All engine/body numbers match. Any reason why speedo should be different (other than someone changing it at some stage) and the engines/bodies should be out of sequence????? G

I cranked the 260Z up this morning to do a bit of tinkering & I heard exhaust sounds in the engine bay. I'd wrapped the exhaust with a heat blanket a couple of weeks ago to reduce the heat in the engine bay. Now I have a crack along one wing of the manifold (picture).:dead: Anyone seen this before? It's a first for me. I'd had overheating problems for most of the time I'd owned the car. New water pump, new fan, system drained, radiator removed & cleaned, replaced the exhaust manifold gasket, all leaks fixed -- still some heat. So, I'd added the blanket. It did reduce the engine temperature a bit ... but it looks like it overheated the exhaust manifold -- or…

I've uploaded photos of one of the assembly tags I found while parting out an early 72 (manufactured 9/71). I can't remember if I found this sandwiched between the pedal box and body or tucked inside the right fender well. This was a U.S. Market HLS30. Can anyone translate? Assembly tag reverse side

Hey all been a while since I have posted, but I just purchased a new A/C system from MSA for my 1972 240. I was wondering if anyone had any exp. with these systems from MSA? I was looking to see if the systems are reliable and easy to install. THe system was $779.00 USD for the entire system from pulley belt to switch on the interior.

Anyone know where to order hoods for a Z? Prefer fiberglass. I saw a web site awhile back that had them but not able to remember the url. I called MotorSport about getting prices on all the parts that need replacing (about $1200) from the accident and some putz on the phone ticked me off so I really dont care to order from them anymore. You would think with an order that size they would be helpful.
