Guys (esp Perth guys), the Classic quater mile sprints being held at the Sandalford winery in the Swan Valley this weekend will feature a few Zs amongst the assorted interesting cars. There will also be a "1972 Datsun Skyline GT-R". I will try to take a few pics and post them on the site. In the meantime, have a look at this: http://www.classicrally.com.au/classic_quarter_mile_sprint.htm

Z in a MOVIE! 1 2

Hey I was watching the movie "Class" the other day and in the very first scene where Andrew McCartney is boarding a bus bound for his new prep school, You can see a nice orange 280Z parked in the bus depot parking lot! This movie was made in 1983 and stars McCartney and Rob Lowe and Jacqueline Bisset. Anyone else see Z's prominent in Movies??? Another one that comes to my mind is in the movie "Capricorn One" starring Elliot Gould and James Brolin, Karen Black's chrachter drives a nice 1977 or 78 280!

Got home to find that my 240Z.org tee-shirt and sticker had been delivered. Pretty fast for their slowest, least costly shipment choice!

I am looking at putting most of my 280z (1977) race car onto a 240 tub. I am curious what I should have on my shopping list and what will fit. Things that I know are different. Dash Tranny Differential Radiator bumpers hood harness rear brakes motor exhaust fuel tank fuel pump door latches tail lights Some of those things are more crucial to have right on a race car than others and some just plain won't fit. Anybody familiar with swapping back and forth who can give me some more clues? thanks Bryan

Wouldn't it just blow your mind to see Saddam Hussein and George W. Bush pull up in their Z cars to Marilyn Mansion's crib to help drop a fresh Q45 engine into his slammed Fairlady? The following day all three of them would be wearing "I'm with stupid" tee-shirts, licking ice-cream cones while rollerbladding down the boardwalk. Huh, huh? You turn the TV on in time to see Rush Limbaugh and Phil Donahue adorned in matching tank-tops, with silk screened unicorns and rainbows, tearing-it-up on Soul Train! Then, Saddam beats George W. drag racing in the UN parking lot three times in a row. Working on a hot tip from d*** Cheney, the weapons inspectors begin searching Saddam's …

Does anybody know the ratio of HP at the flywheel to HP at the rear wheels. I recently had the engine run up on a Dyno to establish motor HP and was given a printout of 126HP at the rear wheels at 4900 RPM. I want to calculate the HP at the flywheel!

Here's a Tamiya Model of a 350ZG 350Z with a G nose! Looks like something they invented, or some modeller has modified a standard 350Z model, but it's all in Japanese so I dont know the story. 350ZG Link

Last week during an online chat, a few members, here at CZCC, asked me to keep an "eye open" for available Z cars in and near my home, here in San Diego, California. Per your request I have compiled a few Z examples offered in this weeks (San Diego edition) AutoTrader. I had some difficulty reproducing these tiny images on cheap news print so keep that in mine when you view the attachment bellow. One ad in particular, a hot 71-240Z, seems suspect at $1,500. I think it has since been sold. But, you never know. More bad news, I discovered a 77 280Z Fairlady fixer-upper, RHD of course with power assisted fender mirrors too. Asking price.....$500 (talk about sticker shock)…
