:classic: Is there any one out there that can tell me the aprox difference there will be when I change diff. , that is at say 60mph . Presently I am running 3.54 s and am installing 3.70 not a big jump ,but I was wondering what to expect after all is completed. I am going from a good R-180 to a newer R200 just wondered if it was worth the effort , thanks for the input stupid:

I just installed a new center console on my 76 280 and I have one empty slot? There are three holes for switches right under the radio and I have one empty slot in the center. Perfect square. What the hell goes in this one? I must be missing a switch or is this the wrong year console. A 240?

maximum amount of nitrous?

Anyone know the maximum amount of nitrous that can be used on a stock block 240, 260, 280 befoe bad things start to happen. I plan to remove the carbs and intake and install the four barrel intake with a 500 cfm holly, and use a plate injection system under the carburator. This is for the dragstrip and street use.

ok here's the story i come to work around 7:30am walkt o my office and i get a trouble clal to fix a computer in a class room(i work at a school) the classroom is out back by the autoshop where i had my project z stored...and what do i see it's outside wet from heavy fog last night....the friggin adult school teacher that share our shop left my precious z outside over night...she oculd have gotten vandalized! well anyways this guy is gonan get it form me tonight !!!...sorry just had to vent that out

I have a 1977 2+2, it was stolen and recovered with only minor damage. The insurance adjuster and I began a drawn out duiscussion of what the car was worth and should it be totaled. A first blush he said $1,800. After I blasted that we moved on to more logical concepts! There has been a lot of text about G-noses, airdams and spoilers. Did the factory ever produce an optional spoiler (other than the ZG nose)? If I'm ever to put a front spoiler on a Z, I want something that does NOT look as modern as the one on the top right of this page. Hello all. I was browsing the net in search for a 240Z car club and saw your sight. I have a question. I have the chance to trade my 1990 Honda Civic Hatchback for a 1970 240Z. It has recently been restored. The body is good with a very nice paint job. The steering seems tight and straight. It has a 2.4 OHV 4sp. Which runs good. The seller says it will ping and some times deisol unless he runs on Chevron fuel, 89 octane. I would run higher octane, would that cure this problem? Or is there other variables to look into? The interior is in very good condition. He is askeing 2800 for it, and will trade instead. I am not very knowlegable on Datsuns, I just know allot about H…

what years did the differnent hub caps come out. What I am trying to ask is when did the company stop making hub caps with Ds on them and start putting Zs on them. And how many different type are there of these hub caps styles. Including non 240Z style caps. Pictures would be great.

electric fan question ??

I am installing a new electric fan on my L28 in my 71 240z. The old fan (before i bought the car) had the fan thermostat sender was under the top hose on top of the thermostat (radiator side of thermostat) Is this right? it seems like it should be on the engine side of the thermostat... someone set me straight where to install the fan sender......thanks:stupid:
