Has anyone ever replaced there stock muffler with this item from Motorsport Auto? It says that it replace the muffler, but the note says that it is not to be used with non catalytic convert or removed pre-muffler cars. I currently have an older Monza dual tip exhaust system mated to the stock manifold. It sounds like the old british sports cars. I am installing a header in the morning and I wanted to buy one of these to replace the old monza exhaust system. Any experience with these items. WIll I see any issues running the header and turbo tip? Thanks

Okay. I have a massively cracked dash. (Join the club, i know). I can spend $500 and a boatload of time getting it out and having it refurbed. What about these dash cap things for 80 bucks on eBay? Anyone used them and what did they look like? appreciate the advice.

First: a shout out of HAPPY NEW YEAR & Kudos to Mike and the other Gurus I've learned from. It's about the Z. Though I voted for original style in the "How do you like the front of your Z?" poll, I did notice, in the three weeks I was able to drive my Z the front floated at Higher speeds (I thought this was a result of bad ball joints, shocks or alignment) Would like to here more on this subject. Questions: First: are the urethane airdams offered by MSA or VBL the same, and who is the manufacturer or other outlets? Second: Does this replace one or all of the three pieces that make up the valance on my 77. Thanx Darylick

Is that true ? I was having my wife's car worked on the other day , just before Christmas, andwhile waiting I read in one of the Sports car magazines that Nissan isn't going to ship andy 350s over because the certification was too costly . Has any one else read or heard this ? I drove by the dealer yesterday and they had three out front out in the rain . I keep trying to like the looks but just cant. Any way Could the cost to certify the car be that costly !

Hey, And happy new year, mine is not off to a very good start. Was traveling down the highway tonite around 40 mph or so, not running it hard, suddenly the motor kind lurched and shut down. After getting it home and pulling the valve cover off it was discovered that the cam sproket bolt had backed off and allowed the pin to slip out of the sproket and stop turning... And while I was pulling off the cam gear, the chain tensioner expanded before I could get the screw driver inbetween the chains. I did get them spred apart...is that gonna be good enough or do I have to take the front of the motor off???? And when the motor was turning over in the garage to evaluate what w…

I got stuck into dismantling more of the engine bay today and while I was happily labeling away I realised there were a couple of parts that I do not have a clue about. I have attached a photo with the two parts highlighted, I worked out they have something to do with the air-con because there are some connections to the rest of the system and I don't have air-con in the 240 nor do I have these parts. If anyone can help me out I would be most grateful.

If anyone here is in the bay area and would like to form a group possibly to lend a second or third hand / their expertise with other members projects, sign in here. Once I pony up the cash to start on mine (72 510) I wouldnt mind help or learning from others, as I'm a mechanical idiot that is if you're willing. Joe
