Hey, I'm living in New Zealand and can't seem to find a 240z anywhere!!! Anyway, I was thinking of importing one from Japan, not right now, but sometime in the future, and was wondering if there was anyone here from Japan who may be able to help me find one, etc. I just really need some one to look at it and send pics, just generally check it out. Dad owns a shipping company, so that side of things isn't too much of a problem, so yea. Just seeing if anyone would be able to give me a helping hand sometime in the future. Thanks, Leon

Has anyone seen this ad that's been running in the movie theatre previews called 'The Run'? I went to the Lord of the rings the other day and the opening preview/ad was for the new 350z called 'The run'. The ad starts out inside the car shot over the dashboard with the 3 gauges showing and the speedometer reading 123mph. It's probably a minute or so long and it shows the new 350z racing through these tight narrow streets in europe? somewhere. Really cool ad. It gives you a great sense of what it might be like to drive it and it's pretty much balls to the wall the whole run. Well, not exactly...but have you ever received a reasonably thoughtful and very expensive gift that you just really don't need? Happened to me this year. Bottom line and necessary Z content: I could have easilly bought a new Z or two with the money. steve77

Ok, now I am mad. Crusing around in the '74, needed gas, pulled into a Chevron and put the standard 10 bucks super and went one mile and the car quit. After being towed home it was discovered that the gas was contaminated with water and who knows what, below is a pic of the ^%&*$#! fuel. I am SOOO pissed. I had this car running FLAWLESSLY. Would accelerate strongly, no hesitation at all. After draining all the gas from the tank, replacing the fuel pump along with all the filters, taking all three Mikunis off the car and drianing / cleaning them the car still runs like @#$%. Hello all. I am the proud owner of an early 74 260z. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am saving it from certain future in rust heaven. When I bought it the guy told me it had rusty rockers, and the front fenders could sue a little work. Well about a week later I heard a grinding underneath my feet whenever I would take a right hand corner at speed. Well I had a look and it was the floor pan scraping along the highway. GREAT! Whenever I would drive above 50 miles an hour the pan would get sucked down and make this noise. So I am running a compression check on the '74 that has been Chevroned and it occoured to me that I have never held the throttle open when cranking the engine over. Well hey Elvis, now my compression is where the previous owner said that it was.... 210 holy cow. And straight across the board, this reading is after five revolutions on the cranking... So, why does it make a difference holding the throttle open? And anyone else out there have any idea what the compresion ratio may be with that kind of reading? (Ballpark ofcourse...) my wipers stopped working all of a sudden. i read some previous posts about this and have noticed that the rubber boots are totally missing on mine. i'm pretty sure there is still power going to the wiper motors becuz every time i turn the wiper switch on i see the amp meter flicker a bit, in addition to that i can still hear the wiper motors when i turn the switch on. i hear a quiet noise like the motors still moving but the wipers don't actually move. i can also move the wipers freely left and right with my hand when the wipers are off. i didn't try to move them when i had the wiper switch on. should i just take them apart and try and clean them out? the base of the wi…

I am going to change the oil in my differential(previous owner put in a 510 rear end) so I checked for the filler hole and it is right up against a rear brace with about 1/2 inch of access(so there is no way to get wrench in there). Any suggestions on how to fill this thing other than removing the differential? I only stuck my head under there for a second, so maybe I missed something obvious. It is a 180.
