I was wondering what body parts are interchangeable between z's. When I had my 240z i was told a 260z bonnet (Hood) wouldnt fit, but that was over 10 years ago, and i've seen plenty of 240z with 260 turbo bonnets. Do 260z 2+2 bonnets, fenders and headlight buckets bolt straigt onto a 240z? Obviously a 2+2 hatch wouldnt fit a 240z, but what about a 2 seater hatch. I saw an ad for a guy wnting to swap a 260z hatch for a 240z, so maybe they dont, who knows? but thats just the point. It would be good to get a list going of parts that can be swapped, as 240z parts are hard to find (here in Australia), but 260z 2+2 are easy to find and are really cheap. I'm not too concerned w…

has anyone ever done this. I had thought that someone had done this before to there Z. Meaning that taking the old style fuse block out and switching it to a newer style fuse block with the plug in fuses. If so what type or from what car did you use the new block? Anybody here know of this or know someone or somewhere that has done this Thanks James

I am in the market for a new set of plug wires and wanted to see what everyone is running. I have a old set of NGK wires on the car now. I am thinking about getting NGK or Taylor wires. Thanks Greg 72 240Z

I have a 1972, 240z with approx. 95,000 miles. The car has a high mechanical decibel level when the transmission/clutch is engaged. Other than that, the car seems to be running fine. I have been thinking about using synthetic engine oil and transmission fluid. I know this has probably been asked before, but is there a downside with synthetics on the 240's engine/transmission seals and gaskets.

I know this is a few years on from the classic z's, but it's a damn head scratcher. My friend's brother has a 300zr, it seems to be prety much the same as the z31 300zx. Anyone know anything about this? What's different, etc. It seems to be really rare and there's not much info on the net. zep

my pedal goes almost all the way to the floor before it starts to work. i don't think anything is leaking cuz i always check the brake fluid level and it never goes down. i brought my car to the local z shop and he took it for a drive and said that's it's probably my brake booster. he swapped it out with a used one , and he said it brakes way better now. i kinda disagree, it is slightly different but pretty much the same. now i'm no mechanic but isn't there some way the mechanic could've inspected the brake booster, master cylinder, or calipers to see what the problem was before he changed my brake booster? he just assumed it was the brake booster and changed it. anyways,…

Mike was good enough to hold a gallery folder open for me to place the shots I took from the 2001 Classic Datsun Show, at the Deer Creek Winery. It took me a while to find the CD that had the photos on it. After finally cleaning my home office, it turned up. I hope you all enjoy them, that is, if you can make it through all of the 113 photos! If you have any info on the cars pictured, please leave a comment. If the photo is of your car, feel free to copy it for your use, in any way you please. Here's the link to start you down memory lane. click here

From Autoasia: http://www.auto-asia.com/viewcontentprem.asp?page=viewprem&pk=7780 Nissan president Carlos Ghosn says he wants to revive the Datsun brand. Giving a speech in Tokyo on December 3, Ghosn called Datsun a symbol of Nissan's history and expressed a desire to bring it back. He did not specify what types or grades of vehicle the Datsun name would be applied to but left his audience in no doubt that the idea would be followed through. Datsun was the company’s leading brand until 1981, when its changed the brand name to the company name, Nissan. Today, the Datsun is only used on one pickup model sold outside Japan.
