Ok, here's the deal. During the 2002 National ZCCA Convention, at the car show, there was a group picture taken that has been used in the one of the new 350Z commercials. My Z was in that picture and I'm looking for good quality pictures of this group shot. Has anybody seen any out on the web that look good? I found one, but it's small and not of good quality. I want to get a good picture and frame it for my garage. Any help is appreciated in this search. I have attached a copy of the picture I found to give you an idea of the picture I'm looking for.

Hi all, I have a pulley problem. On the crankshaft pulley there are three grooves for belts. The front two i assume are for power steering and A.C. which are no longer on my car, so obviously there are no belts in those two grooves. My front pulley has come loose, how doi either A) take it off or B)tighten it back up and what do i use to (tool wise) to do it. I was going to replace my fan anyway so would this be a good time to do that? Do i need to pull radiator to do that? Sorry for all the basic questions, i just need a little guidance, i know i can do these things, just don't know how! Thanks, Zlish

When I found my 83 280 zx turbo I thought I was the luckiest girl in the world. Beautiful body, 100k mi. , t_tops, cruisecontrol and fully loaded. 90 pt. diagnostic revealed near perfection. My mechanic was stunned. The only problem was moderately worn brakes(rotors, not just pads.) Plus it's a salvage, but it had been repaired look like new. After a 3 month search for a 280zx for $2500 or less, she was 100% nicer that anything else I'd found. Ran beautifully for a year. Then it started stumbling during accelleration and eventually stalling intermittantly and not restarting for 10-20 minutes. I had the fuel pump/filter replaced and it helped for a few weeks. Then the…

Hey there. Could someone please give me an idea of which engine to put into my 240? I have a '78 L-28 and an 83 L-28 turbo engine. I'm not sure if either needs a rebuild yet but, I'm pretty sure I want to stay with carbs. From what I'm reading on other sites, the N-54(?) and P-90 head is the way to go. On others the P-79 block and E-88 head are the way to go. Both engines are dished pistons so they'll have to go but I was under the impression that the N-54 has siamesed cylinders so it's the best one to swap with. Please....anyone.....help me make up my mind! Thnx.

first off i bought the 240 that had been sitting for 2 years off some drug addict about 6 months ago for 1k which is a really good deal, the body and interior is really good for a 71, it had a "blown head gasket" supposedly as the owner told me when i bought the car not knowing, it turned out to have a cracked head so i got the head welded, shaved down, new valve guides etc........ so now i have finally gotten everything back together still not knowing if the tranny is good or what since ive never even seen the car start. after going thru junkyards and finally putting the motor back together and getting everything done on my to do list today we had to hotwire my car and u…

I have a 73 240z that I bought 4-5 years ago and decided to dig in this weekend. I have been waiting all week for the weekend to get started and I lay there in bed like a kid on Cristmas eve and can't take it any more---so down to the office I wander and surf all the various web sites. Hats off to Kyle for an excelent job on the site (what ever happed to the Volvo?) But now I have two questions. #1 Are automatics a bad thing? I see so many builds out there and all are 4-5 speed. Should I now go on a quest in search of a stick? I understand the "it's a sports car" and things of that nature but just wondering if there are some defects there? #2 All built engines tha…

I found a great alternative to the stock front grille. It's the grille from the 432Z (only released in Japan). here's a picture of the grille. I'll post a picture of it on my car in the future. Sorry folks, I think I got the last one from Nissan.
