Hey Everyone Im new here and just wanted to say that this is a great site. My dad has a 73' 240z: the paint is chipping and the undercarriage is very rusted. Does anyone have any experience with a body shop? (Average cost for a body and paint job ? He has also been asking me to find him a body kit and I was wondering if you guys can recommend one that looks nice but not too overpowering: Like the big kits on those so-called "ricer" cars. I would appreciate any info Thanks

Ya know, I just learned of the multiple terrorist attacks, as well as attempts (SAM to civilian airbus) to Israeli interests. Yup, here I am at work with my fellow Firefighters watching football and fighting off the ensuing turkey-coma, while the terrorists are out there working. Man-O-Man, they don't even take time off for Holidays. Real tough group guys there to ignore these Holidays even when most are gathering with family in celebration of life. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, My wife chased me out of the kitchen, so I did a bit of surfing on the net, while waiting for it to warm up a bit outside. All this Z talk has me itching to do some work on my car -- but I'm new to the New Orleans area & don't know anyone. I found the Z club in Houston to be invaluable in making contacts & getting advice, but but I can't seem to find a Z club in the New Orleans area. Anyone know of a club around here? Anyone local that has an interest in getting one started?

The truth is, when I first saw the new Z, I really didn't care for it too much. Thought it looked like a cross between the new Audi TT and the new Celica GTS. In this day and age of "retro", I was hoping it would look more like the 240Z. All that has changed, now that I have seen one in person. It's looks have definately grown on me. Even though it's wheel base is larger than any other Z, it seems a lot smaller than the last of the 300Z's. The interior is great, the gauges are easy to read. I especially like the tach right in the middle. God knows I look at that gauge the most!!!! (mph is just a by product) What really hooked me on it was watching it do…

and as far as a Z....... I don't like it. I can see the evolution to the car....240-260-280-300-350. I don't think it is deserving of the Z name. With that said, it is a decent looking sports car but it doesn't look like it will hold up, it looks cheaply made. Just my opinion.

Ok, here we go, The PREVIOUS owner of my '74 converted the rear light system to this somewhat Ferrari 308, of which I will have pic's of tomorrow for your review... Has anyone seen this in the past? I hated it at first, now it seems to be growing on me or I am getting lazy in the switchover. Or switchback whichever it is. Give me some feedback on this, I will post the pics tomorrow. I can't afford the Ferrari (yet) and (give me about a hundred years) I figure if I want a Ferrari butt I should get the dog too.. Let 'er rip...It's up to you guys / gals... I recently swapped tranny's on my 240 and in the process broke the studs on the original ex. manifold. The question is... can you replace the studs or do you have to replace the manifold all together? PLease HElp I need this fixed fast... I am having Z withdraws :disappoin

And another one Damn. This morning I fouled a plug right after starting my trip to work.... And it never picked up again... About ten miles... Boy am I pissed... I only hope I didn't screw up the cylinder too much.... I think I am looking for better plugs.... I know the NGK mantra.... Damn again.... I sure hope I fires when I get ready to go home, or I will no doubt lose it....
