   My brother just bought a 1st gen 240z and I am looking for signs that were made for this car. i.e. what a dealer might have had up on the show room. does anyone know a source for this type of sign or have pictures I could use to reproduce this sign.

   i am aware of all the dimensions and bolt patterns/offsets etc...that cause difficulty for getting rims to fit on a Z. i foiund a nice used pair with both 4 bolt patterns.....my question is as there are several companies that make adapters (with separate lug extensions) as well as just the spacer plates. what does physics tell us is wrong with all this - or is there? presumably you are adding unsprung weight but that will typ be more than overcome by the lighter wheels.....so is there some excessive wheel brg. wear that will occurr? and if wheels are properly balanced why is this? thanks in advance if anyone can help? and as datsun owners, can't we lobby that they m…

   Well, heres some background info on me.. I am 16, I have a 1998 GMC Sonoma. I am planing to; A) Swap a 5.7l Vortec 350 into my Sonoma.. which would be out of commission the whole time I try to figure out what the heck im doing.. Buy a project car, a Datsun 240z 1972 Type body style.. and fix it up, either put a small block chevy, or fix up the Turbo inline 6 in it, if it has one. I have been in love with the Z car ever seince I saw the Darious 240z movie, the sleek body lines.. I love the 2 seater look with the long hood.. And then, while test driving and looking at a 91' Eagle Talon TSI AWD.. I was like .. omg.. is that a Datsun 240z.. in this guys driveway…

   :love I finally found the 240Z I've been looking for and I pick her up on Sunday. The only real body damage to think of is a nice dent on the top of the left 1/4 panel and headlight cowl. It'll probably cause me to replace it all. Interior is in good shape other than the usual dash cracks and broken clock. I'll post close ups and build my own gallery as soon as I pick the car up and run through a full tank of gas on the same day. :love: Dwight Zless no more!! oh and my wife informed she is with child this week:love: deleriously happy!!

   We got some beautiful weather today in Oklahoma (72 degrees), so I decided to take a drive. While at an intersection a car ran a yellow light and almost T-Boned another car. It got me thinking about my Z. I'm 5'11" and 225 lbs and the broader shoulder witdth puts me right up against the door. I could'nt imagine what a wreck would look like in the Z versus my 2000 Maxima. Even with my 85 300zxt and 91TT I felt like there was more car between me and the elements. Just some thoughts for those who like to drive a little crazy, which we are all guilty of once in a while.

    Hi Cuong recently bought an old November 1973 magazine (Motor Manual) talking about this certain Zed in it - a red 240Z with a Victorian number plate of [LMJ 974]. Just thought one of you might have some info about this car or where to find it's owner? He/She might want to find this magazine for themselves!
