I want an Air Dam! But I don't wany to glass it into place. What I'd like is a fiberglass model that replaces the sheet metal piece, using the same mounting bolt locactions. I like this style in particular. Any suggestions?

I'm currently fixing up my 240z. It has an L28 with F/I. I am seriously considereing buying the crane cams xr-3000 Electric ignition system, HI-6 variable spark ignition, and also th ps-91 high performance coil. These are all in the msa catalog. What are some of your opinions on this setup. I want to replace the OE ballast resistor, transistor and pickup, basically the whole ignition system. Is this a recommended setup? Thanks

In my travels I came across a 260z 2+2 at the wrecker1977 compliance. Like a good Practitioner of Z theory I quickly removed the parts I needed and used plastic to secure them before the next practitioner arrived. I scored well. I took my new complete set of door locks with no key to my local locksmith. I requested that he manufacture two keys for this set. he looked at the locks, took the RH lock barrel imput the ident code from the barrel and cut the keys. they worked perfectly. I questioned him about the location of the code he said the right hand barrel was the standard position. I have one of those chicken and egg questions. Does a zee have its lock ident codes on t…

This Kind of humorous. Sorry in advance ladies, nothing personal. A few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage. A blonde came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten. We all looked at each other, and another customer asked, "What is aseven-hundred-ten?" She replied, "You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I lost it and need a new one. It had always been there." The mechanic gave the blonde a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to another car which had the hood up and asked, "is there a 710 on this car?" She pointed and s…

Truck wheels?

I thought this was interesting to find out. Not really sure if its true but.... My local tire store is telling me that the wheel lug pattern (4 on 4.5), offset (0) and size (R14, R15 or R16) is the equivalent to todays standard truck wheel. The standard truck wheel has a very slight negative offset but essentially 0. Problem is hardly anyone makes the 4 bolt pattern. This isn't anything new but he said I would probably have as much luck finding wheels for my Z shopping truck style rims as shopping performance rims. I think I'm having a tough time finding rims because I don't like the newer styles where the rotor, caliper etc is so visible. It's kind of like running…

I just ordered a set of Yokohama AVS ES100 tires for my Z.... Has anyone had any experience with these tires... The reviews look very good. But a second opinion would be OK too.. Hope I didn't screw up.

Hello, I had a 240 Z as my first car, and sorry that I sold it. I am thinking about buying another one as my play car, and have the following questions. 1. Does Nissan have anyway of giving you a certificate of authenticty, so you know what was delivered on your car, and the engine and tranny numbers. 2. Where is the best place to find a concours condition car? 3. What would that type of car cost? Thanks Michael
