Hi all, 2ManyZs just had some tragic news about his mother. She is sick and in the hospital at this moment. Let's all take some time to send him our warmest regards. You can either send him a private message, email, or just reply to this message. Hang in there Keith, and we all hope your mom comes out of this with flying colors! -- Mike

Now that my car is stripped, I'm stairing into the engine bay thinking, Hmmmm. Not that I'm knocking the 350 swap, (God bless american muscle) but what about something like a late model nissan 3.5L, such as this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1853476676 Has anyone attempted a late model Nissan swap? Are the modification to the bay extensive? There are so many "high tech" options for these motors, do any of you feel it's worth it? What other engine suggestion/options, are out there aside from the American 8s? I hope this is a viable topic, I would love to hear some feedback. TS

Hello all, Here's the scenario.... Switched carbs from the flat-tops to 3 screw rounds, the front in running rich no matter what adjustment is made. Here's the question: Is it fair to say that I could take another 3 screw, adjust it the same exactly idle/mixture wise, use the same needle, and switch 'em? (just the front one) In my head, which is dangerous, the car should just start up and run as if the other carb was still there. And hopefully eliminate the rich mixture from the front problem? I have adjusted everything on the darn thing and when I lift up on the front piston, the smoke clears. Ideas / advice? Thanks, have a great day! Brian

I up loaded 48 photos to the 2002 Classic Datsun Show folder. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=522&thumb=1 I wasn't too thorough in collecting notes of who's car was who's, so I hoping everyone will help put names to cars.

In my L-24 I am running a '79zx dist, and am going to replace the cap and rotor. I just wondered if any one had an openion on the brands of parts. I use ngk BP6RS plugs which I will stay with but what about the cap and rotor , DAIICHI OR BOSCH , or one that is a F2010-27437. I am not aquainted with any of these and wondered if they are with aluminum or brass contacts . The cost is not an issue it quality that I want . Is the F2010 Nissan ?? I have a new set of ignition 8mm wires . Thanks in advance .

The previous owner of my 73 240 installed a differential from a 510, but doesn't remember what ratio it was. Can you determine the ratio from the folowing numbers? The numbers on the bottom of the casing are: 213 72 5 T 41 At least he saved the original differential. What would be the ratio on the original(I don't know if it was stock either, because there was another previous owner). The casing numbers are as follows: Top- 209 T24 Bottom- 38311 E4600 209 Any suggestions…

Whilst being the first to admit I'm not an expert on cars, I will also say that I have a fairly extensive knowledge of most things car...but this is one thing that I have no idea about... Ok, my headlights and my dash lights. When I turn them on at first the head and dash lights were fine, then a couple of weeks ago my dashlights would 'flicker' on and off when they were just turned on (for a couple of seconds). Now the lights don't go on at all and my low beams are doing the same...is a virus eating my electrical contacts...now, it can't be a fuse or a wire thats come loose...so WHAT THE HELL IS IT!!! If anyone could help, it would be appreciated cause I have no idea …

Hi guys, Well I have finally found (and bought) my project car. I have just purchased a 1977 260Z manual with an L28/N42 combination. I had originally planned on modifying the 240 but it's in such good original condition I haven't got the heart to bastardise it. I will keep hold of the 2+2 for a while as a parts car but I don't think I'm going to need much off it, so I MIGHT part it out - I'll let you know when I have done an inventory. The new 260 is a little on the shabby side, but there doesn't appear to be any rust where it matters. The wings and doors are solid and there is the usual rot around the hatch lid. Two owners ago a new dash was put in and the last owner…

http://www.nissan.com.au/z/ Check out the nissan 350Z site. theres a quicktime 3D 350Z to play with and a nice photo of a 240Z and a 350Z driving down a road (lools like in the USA) amongst other photos in the gallery. Plus all the usual specs etc etc. and when you get bored of that you can look at concept cars or the 200sx. Mr C
