I just had to say that the new site looks GREAT!! (And yes, you can say that "Tony the tiger style"...) The new chat room is a great upgrade!!!! I have to say I kind miss "Shout" tho, it was a great way to start my day.... In short, Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to not only an excellent car / sickness, but to also a bunch of people that have made this site a part of their everyday lives!! THANK YOU MIKE!! Bri.

Hi Everyone, Well, as winter approaches in NY, I am getting the most out of my Z (260) before it goes into hibernation. I have noticed this week, that i am losing traction & sliding the rear around corners more than usual- specifically, i go around a 90 degree corner near my house- in 2nd gear at about 30mph (3000rpm). I accelerate through the bend, and the tires really begin to squeal the back starts to come around if i keep the pedal down. I also noticed that on the offramp from the expressway- about a 210 degree loop- the same happens in 3rd at 55-60mph (but that road surface just changed from blacktop to concrete). The tires are Firestone F570's 195/70/14 the …

I would like to improve my 1972 240Z ignition for a reasonable amount of money. Currently, I have the stock single point distributor and coil set-up. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, how much of a HP increase could one expect?

Hi guys! This is my first post, so please dont flame me!! Right now i have a 95 240, and a 92 jeep, but my buddie has a 72, or 73 z that he will sell to me for $500. its not in great cond, and it doesnt run, but i have the means to fix all that. now my question to you is, how hard is it to drop a chev 350 in?? Im sure this has been asked many MANY times, but i just saw the sweetest 240z movie (clip of darius and his 240z with a turbo V8) I about crapped my pants!!! IT WAS SWEET! and i want it. So is this a good deal, and is it easy to make it fast?

Not sure if this has been posted here (didn't see it). I actually found out about this at the Tribalwar forums - this tells you about how much this incident has spread all over the internet. Most of the big car forums are in on it, and the consequences of this one person's actions could be far reaching. It's a lot of reading, but well worth it. Here's the links: http://65.31.67.109/showthread.php?threadid=29134&perpage=15&pagenumber=1 and http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=19809&perpage=25&pagenumber=1 edit: kant spel.

Hi all, I’m a relatively new Z Car owner and I was wanting some help with where is good to buy parts from in Australia, by mail-order, internet, or walking in. I live in Brisbane and I am already aware of the Zcar Workshop, but I would like to know of others around the country. Then I can compare prices or track down that hard to find part. So the plan is to use this forum to develop a list of Z car parts suppliers (new or 2nd hand) and Z car servicing in Australia, complete with their contact details to help all the newbies out here (like me). So here is a couple to start: Z Car Workshop www.zcarworkshop.com.au Underwood, Queensland, Australia Parts and servicing for e…

You can click on this link to see the videos. I ran 10psi and 100shot nitrous out of the hole to 80mph and then went to 16psi of boost to the traps. The motor was bouncing off the 7200rpm rev limit before the traps so I think the car would have gone faster with a tighter converter or more gear. http://65.188.246.193/ Anyway here is my best run results. 60'-1.904 1/8-7.459 MPH-101.7 1/4-11.26 MPH-129.45

My apologies to 2manyzs but I just could not resist. I truly love my 1972 Z but sometimes it seems that one Z is too many. Especially when the bills come due. Great site, had some trouble getting logged on but may be due to bugs in the changeover.

Seems like I remember someone looking for a short pigtail fuse block. There is one up for auction on Ebay right now for a 72 model. Just thought it might help. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1863672718
