Then out of nowhere my daughter says "Daddy I like your Z because it was the original"! YYYYEEAA!! BABY!!! :classic: :classic: :classic: WOOOHOOO!

I've been thinking of this since I saw the Vortech Blower To me it looks like a belt driven turbo. Which leads me to my question. Would it be possible to get a used turbo, modify it to be belt driven then mount it on a NA L28 with SU's. I was thinking of forcing the air into the stock intake air cleaner. Would this work? Would there still be enough vacuum for the brakes and the vacuum advance? Could you put a blower on a L28 with flat top pistons and a N42 head or would the compression be to high? Hmmmm???

ROFL  Been chasing up those chromed rubber strips that are on the interior panels in front of the wheel wells without much success. Decided to make a visit to the local graveyard and LO AND BEHOLD, there it was. It's used to pretty up the rear bumper bars on Nissans and Mitsubishi's. Time and patience is required to remove the old two sided tape and replace it with new. BE CAREFUL not to damage the clear plastic coating as it is not chrome as we know it. The rubber is actually covered with a very thin layer of silver foil and sealed with clear plastic. I grabbed as much as I could from 5 cars and only cost me $5.50 Aust. Hope this info is helpful to som…

I am in the process of having Rebello Racing rebuild my 70 Z motor and they only offer black paint for the block. They will however paint it "nissan" blue if I provide the paint. Does anyone know anybody that sells it. Preferably online. Thanks Mark

love the site here guys - anyway, my name is jay - i'm in northern california and have been a fan of zs for a while, but only an owner for 2+ years... i have a 1971 (series i - with the hatchback vents vin in the 13,000s) 240 - bright orange - completely original (with the exception of the 31 year old mags the original owner - guy before me - put on..) still have the stock rims and caps in boxes (never been put on) - bought it from a guy who owned the datsun dealership in marin county back in '70 and he had the foresight to order all the original logos in duplicate along with all the weather stripping... (also sitting in boxes) its in virtually perfect condition (inter…

Hey... lets try and keep a running list of the Z concerts as they are "announced." I think most of us look at these posts more often than the Nissan concert page. So far it looks like the next show is Cheap Trick in Arbor, MI on the 21st and then ???? in philly on the 23rd. Knowing my luck they'll have someone awesome in Phoenix and it will be on a workday. Also, if anyone has feedback from the Ztour shows, let us know what goes on.... Any REAL Z's? (just a joke, all are real even if they have EFI and half of us don't like the look of the new Z (I still haven't seen it up front and personal so I'll reserve my comments until then). D

Ok, so I'm reading through all the various forums and learning alot (BIG forum you've got here). But I'm having trouble keeping up with all of the engine talk. Can someone list of all the Z-car engine block codes (lie L28 F45 etc.) and what model those engines came in? Also the advantages/disadvantages of each one. Like "this one doesn't rev as well", "this one has lubrication issues with high rpm applications" etc. Or better yet if someone can point me to a good FAQ with all of this Jaz (I'm really surprised at how hard it's been to find a good faq, in the Honda community they are everywhere). Thanks again,
