Early congradulations on the future article in Sport Z magazine!!! Restoration advice on the 240Z and the not-so-obvious pitfalls!! They even metioned Mikes name and put the club name and the internet address in!!! Could be getting a few new members !!!!! Mike how come you did not let us know about the possible article and I will be looking foward to seeing it hopefully in the Winter issue

Ok -- I maybe should have posted this to the tech area, and perhaps I am truly a moron... I dont have a service manual nearby and I am tearing down the suspension off of my roller and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to take the lower control arms (I think that is what you call these?) off of the strut housings.. I am attaching a pic so please if you have done this please help -- the brain is not firing on all 6 on this one! p

I was reading the Red Dragon today which is the prequil to Hannibal. In one of the later scenes of the book there is a 280ZX talk about for about a paragraph. Can't wait to see the movie. Wouldn't it be great to see a Z in a newer movie

I got one of those POR-15 kits with Marine Clean, Metal Ready and POR-15 for a little project under the hood cowling. Anyway, I get ready to use the Marine Clean, I dilute it with some warm water about 5:1 and start washing away. That stuff is strong! Not only did it degrease the car but it also removed the natural oils in my skin! It dried up my hands something wicked! I thought my hands were going to crack into little pieces and fall off. It ended up drying a layer of skin right off my hands. Morale of the story is be careful with this stuff! Use gloves. I learned the hard way. :stupid:

Does anyone know a good way to stop header leakage? I know that seems like a pathetic question. But my headers were leaking pretty bad (from the port area). You can hear the "pat pat pat" sound comming from them. I ended up taking every off...intake manifold and all....cleaned and taped the threads....put a new gasket...tightended everything back up and the dang thing still leaks. It sounds even worse now. I looked at the old gasket and you can tell thats where it had been leaking from. Any suggestions to what the problem is and what i should do? I was thinking about just taking it to a muffler shop or something and see if they can just fix it. Thank you Steve 1972 240z 7…

I have a 73 and I'm looking to replace the sticker on the center console by the choke indicator light. It is silver and about 1" square with the word "CHOKE" on it. Does anyone know where I can get one?
