HI everyone, I have to start by saying I know very little about Z cars. I need some help and guidance from the experts please. Sorry if this is a long post, but I have alot of questions. This is my story: My Grandfather bought this car from their neighbor in about '76, it was parked in '84 (in the garage) due to my grandfather having a back problem. Car's too low for him to get in and out of. He died 6 months ago, and my Grandmother want's to sell it. Sounds too good to be true? Every car collectors dream come true. Here's the questions::::: The car is dated 11/70 and vin #HLS30-14946 Does this mean that the car is really the 14,946th car of production? What does the HLS…

Today...i noticed that my throttle body was really dirty so i removed it from the car...I cleaned it thoroughly in a solvant tank and with brake cleaner. I also put in new spark plugs. Now when i rev the motor...it takes a long time for the RPM's to go back down...Sometimes it doesnt go back down at all. Did i damage the throttle body some how. Did i damage maybe the idle control valve? The linkage is fine i already checked it. Its a 72 240z but it has a 77 L28 w/ n47 ...Any ideas? THanks P.s. if i tap on the top of the throttle body with a hammer... the idle goes back down.

At variuos times reviewing 240Z maintenance literature, I will see a reference to an intake manifold coolant thermostat. My 72 currently does not have this thermostat. Does anyone have an opinion on this item?

Has anyone ever used this stuff before? I have a spot on the lower radiator support where it meets the frame rail that would be difficult to fabricate a metal patch that would fit accurately however it does not warrant a new rad support. I have heard stories of this stuff being fantastic and repaired cracked engine blocks, however never in an instance of "body work" per say

Does anyone know what year of Skyline one needs for the LSD that will fit a 5/70. Will be in Japan in a few days and it would not hurt to see if I can find one at a fare price.
