I was wondering if there was a difference between the 240Z factory service manual years. Just wondering if it would be possible to own a 71 and be working with a 72 service manual or a 73 service manual.

hello everyone. I just stumbled across this site and had to register!!! I have been a long time Z fiend and currently am restoring an early model 74 260. RLS30-039721. (what's left of it) I had been driving for many, many years a 78 2+2 which is now givin it's life up for the better. The rockers, floors, rear wheel arches and the deck lip underneath the hatch is completely wasted.....sooooooo the old bear is being retired and stripped. The rock solid wonderfully maintained L28 is being transferred to the 260. I will ditch the FI for a set of 72 carbs, swap the current 4 speed for the 5, and the R-200 rear now has a new home. Along with that, I have already purchased …

I was going down A road about 20 miles from my house that I had never been on before. Out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw A Z. I stoped my truck backed up and there it was. I didnt even look @ it close. I just went in the shop it was sitting near and asked if it was for sale. The owner said $150.00 and shes yours. Needless to say I took it. Going to pick it up tomorrow. But get this. date 03-73 car# HLS30-150000 automatic with stock A\C. I took it in order to have A parts car for my 73 date 10/72. We will see if The rust is real deep. If not deep it may just get sealed up and set aside till this one is done. I maybe busy for A long time :stupid:

If you are having trouble sourcing parts, try All Z Parts in Sydney. I've found them to be very helpful, reasonably priced and reliable. No doubt there'd be those who'd disagree but check them out for yourself at www.allzparts.com.au 1 Bravo 6 1974 Bronze 260 Z Sports Coupe

My '72 240Z is running pretty good after I have rebuilt the carbs. However, when I come to a stop, the idle stays around 1000 rpm unless I apply a little rev to the engine and then it falls down to 750-800 rpm. Also, the rpm has a little flucuation at idle. Anyone have any ideas?
