I was cleaning up and found the right rear suspension from my racecar that was ripped from the car in my cartwheel wreck last August. I guess the force was more than I thought. Here's what's left: It was sitting to the left of the car - see the wreckage in my gallery - photo labeled 'Bad Luck at Gateway'.

I am considering switching over to triple webbers from the standard fuel injection I have now. Is there really much difference in horsepower or is it about equal? My injectors seem to get clogged to easily as I had them cleaned out and the car ran great for six months but now lags bad again before I had the injectors cleaned. So should I replace all the injectors with new ones or just get the webbers which I have priced from another party at $500?

Hi folks... Dedicate British car enthusiast with chance to buy first 240z. 71, all original, parked for last 10 years indoors. Some surface rust, nothing else major noted on cursory inspection. Bought Ward Humble's book today and am most of the way thru it. Nothing I have not encountered on my Spitfire (why do the English drink warm beer? Because they have Lucas refrigerators!) I think I can get the car for about $600 from the original owner... 90K miles. What do you'll think? Thanks!

I just bought a 240z from a salvage yard. I am planning to restore it. I have been doing alot of research and i found that this 240z actually has the 79-83 L28 2.8L engine with the 5 spd tranny in it. Most of the guages do not work and i dont have a wiring diagram for anything...Does anybody have any advice as to how to callibrate everything to work such as the speedometer, tach, and water temp guage. I also noticed that there is no O2 sensor because headers were installed...but i dont know where the wires are for O2 sensor licked back to the control unit...The engine is running very rich and i think it is because the lack of the O2 sensor. If anyone has any info on how t…

By Royal Ford, Globe Staff, 7/7/2002 knew they were out there, lurking on Web sites, spreading fact, rumor, hope, and promise - all surrounding the rebirth of a sports car. They are the fans of the Nissan/Datsun Z car, the fabled sports car that first came to these shores in 1970 as the Datsun 240Z, evolved over the years into the Nissan 300ZX, was ''retired'' in 1996, and is now making a much anticipated comeback next month as the 2003 Nissan 350Z. What I didn't know was that when I got the chance to climb into a pre-production 350Z and drive it around for five days, they'd come running (literally) out of the showroom and backshops of a local Nissan dealership when I r…

I just bought a 240z from a salvage yard...It has the L28 w/N47 and a 5 spd tranny. It does not have a speedocable. What speedocable do i buy? A 240z speedocable (240z speedometer) or a 280z speedocable (280z tranny); or are they all universal. Thanks for the info. :classic:

I'm driving down a country highway (no passing lane)....At the end of the highway, it merges with a 2 lane State Highway. As I'm coming around the bend of the merging lane, I'm accelerating to get up to speed, when i notice SOMEONE IS STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MERGING LANE!!!.. I yell out the window " THERE ISN'T A STOP SIGN THERE!!!" If this person can't merge doing 35-55 mph, how are they going to do it from a dead stop!!!??? Of coarse, in today's world, I'm the bad guy with Road Rage, and this person is allowed to drive like an idiot... Anyone else have any driving experiences they'd like to share???
