Well, I made A call to JEG'S (1-800-345-4545) they have the jigs for making up full cages (weld-in) in 4 point $122.99 , 8 point $149.99, 10 point $199.99, and full 12 point cage for $269.99. I am getting the 8 point and it takes 2 weeks for them to bend it up and ship it. I will post some pics when it shows and then more as it gets put in. :beard: P.S. They said they had them for all Z's @ the same prices.

Looking for an automatic 240Z. They seem hard to find. Are they rare? Are there any pros and cons?

My wife gave me an English language Skyline brochure. To call this thing a 'brochure' is like calling Hearst Castle a 'country house'. This thing is BEAUTIFUL. It is for the R-33 GTR V-spec. I don't know where she got it or how much it cost, but it comes in this black box and is an odd-sized four-ringed 'binder' with an embossed aluminum GT-R emblem on the cover and vellum pages and wonderful glossy pages, etc., etc., etc.... IT IS SOOOO UNBELIEVABLE!!! Now I have to figure out where she got it. She claims not on E-Bay. steve77

I have seen the Z......and it is good. Not great, but looks much better in person than in pictures. The biggest surprise is that it looks NOTHING like an Audi TT, I was really amazed. Kept looking at all angles trying to see what we've all seen in the pix. Still don't like the front end, and the door height is too high. I talked the spokesmodel into letting me stand by the car when the show was closing (see pic below- sorry it's not sharp, my buddy was standing too close to the model I think). I'm 5'10" and the door is higher than my belt-line. Couldn't get in the car but the interior looked very nice. The spokesmodel said this was very close to the production Z but…

For those of you who don't subscribe to Grassroots Motorsports magazine, the new issue (August 2002) just arrived in the mail. There is a great article and pics of a 1970 240Z on page 53. The car is beautiful, and the owner has put a 280ZX Turbo engine in it with many other well thought out modifications. Great story, great pics, and a lot of useful info for those of you who may be wondering about the how to do the swap. BTW, the magazine is one I heartily recommend for anyone who is as car crazy as I am. There is something in there for any type of auto enthusiast, from street cars to race cars, they cover it all. The classified ads in the back of the magazine have all s…
