Hi All, I've had the last week off work and while out and about a 1977 260Z 2+2 caught my eye in a Car yard with a price tag of AU$1699. To cut a long story short I'm now $500 poorer but one very bad shape 260Z richer... I only intend to use her for parts as the body has rusted beyond repair, and I think it it rains too hard in the next few weeks I'll be driving a convertible! Thats how rusty the roof is! Anyway the engine is mint and has a very nice set of the earlier round topped SU's. (I'll attach photo's when I get them back) The point of this post however is what the compliance plate reads. My other 260Z 2+2 which is about build number 16000 shows "260Z 2+2" as …

Yesterday SOCALZ and STEVEZCAR (one of the few people with a Z31 to 'get it') cruised over from the Valley in their Z's for no particular reason and we just jabbered in the garage for an hour or so. We motored down to Pismo Beach to observe the weekend crush of humanity and had a great lunch and a pop--and another hour or so of Z talk. After lunch we drove up 101 to SLO where I knew 3 other Z's were parked. We lined up with them and took pictures and basically pretended we had our own private 'meet'! ...And another hour of Z talk. What a great day! The waitress was pretty cute too... steve77

Hi, z maniacs. My name is jorge i live in San Bernardino, CA. Im' 19 and a member of the Empire Z Club. Well it all started when I seen the commercial for the new Z32 it was instant love. I new when I got older I had to get one, you could say it was my dream car. Well my wish came true in 1999 after graduation, well actually 6 months before graduation. I got my graduation present a little early. It was a 94 2+2 I was really going for a TT but all the TT were in bad shape. Then my dream became a nightmare when my Dad couldn't pay for it anymore and I had lost my job so I was out of luck. The car got repo in 2001, but then the 1st gen z caught my eye. Then on d…

Interesting indeed. Helio Castroneves won the Indy 500 today; a repeat victory in fact. As he entered the Winner's Circle I heard him say he was out of fuel. Out of fuel. Think about it, Helio just won the worlds fastest race on fumes.

Just wanted to vent my spleen over the buzzards that prey over the poor victims of MVA's. Today I was involved in a smash that has all but written off my precious 1974 260Z 2+2. The accident happened no more than 500 metres from my home. In a rather confused state after the accident a tow truck driver thrust me some paper work which turned out to be an 'agreement' to allow him to tow my vehicle. I was in a mild state of shock and didn't think to ask how much it would cost. When we got the vehicle home he handed me a bill for AUS$204. When I complained he said the costs were set by the State government. When I told him I had another car collected from over 50 kilometers a…

My father had this thing called a rust preventer on his 1984 Alfa Spider and it worked ..... but he also took very good care of the car so who knows if it actually did anything? My question is, do these things actually work, or is it a bit of a sham? The fact that in the last 5 years they've increased in price by about 500% makes me think that they do work. IF they do work, I will certainly buy one for my Z (some surface rust is evident) Perhaps some of you have had some first hand experience?

Hello everybody There are cracks in the drivers door of my Z near where the stainless window frame bolts on. By the look of them they have already been welded over once. I could weld them up again but by I think they would only reappear as there is no room to weld a plate over the top of them, and I don't think I could get behind them to weld plates over the inside. What I'd really like to do is get a new door skin so I can cut the old one off (It's not quite straight anyway), weld plates over the cracks from inside, and then fit the new skin. Are good door skins available anywhere? Has anybody else had this problem with their doors? Thanks in advance
