Does anyone know why there are two different colors for 240Z service manuals, 1970-72, orange and green? Are both of them the same or different? Printed by different company perhaps under authorization from Nissan? -Guycali

Just got the JCWhitney Sport Compact catalogue in the mail today. They have never sent me this one...OMG. I am speechless. My eyes are worn out from alternating between staring incredulously, laughing to tears, and reading the fine 'descriptions'. There is so much unbelievable crap in this book...I had no idea rice was this bad. Despite all the incredibly cheesy, low-rent stuff designed "for the look of speed", I'm kinda jealous.....I'm glad there is not a following with a catalogue like this for Z's but at the same time, haveing all these parts in one place and readily available and this cheap would be nice...There actually is some pretty cool stuff but 99% of it is…

I'm restoring a white '72 240 with red interior and I wanted to get opinions on what my upholstery options are. Who makes the best seat re-upholstery kits? What other options do you suggest? I'd like to get the seats and door panels as close to original as possible (even original if possible). Both seats have unusable foam. My door panels are pretty shot as well so any input would be gladly taken. Thanks for any input, ~OBrien

I went to look at a 71 240Z today. It had a l26 engine with the original hitachi carbs on it. had a custom exhaust system...was lowered and had after market wheels on it(some kind of 5 stars). it had the floor and inner front fenders replaced about a year ago. the vin # was HL530 30115. how do i check to see if it's really an l26 or really a 71 240Z? i plan on purchasing this car. there was only one small rust spot on the left rear quarter panel. it's just starting to bubble. there is no open rust showing anywhere. i plan on bringing it to the shop i work at for my boss to check out. is there anything in particular i should look at before i purchase it? talked him down t…

My Sister just bought a new Honda. There, I said it. She spent the last two months looking for that new car too. To me that's like taking two months thinking of clever names for your new puppy and decide on "Spot," or "Rex." I guess purchasing a new car is a difficult task for most people. Although I cant figure out why, since they all seem to look alike these days. Having said that, I'm not to sure I could have made a quicker decision either. I'm guessing I would start my search by looking at cars with performance. Not the ones with Space Shuttle like dash boards that only a top MIT grad can figure out. Even after a year your still lying about their functions when ask…
