I just posted 52 pix from the MSA show on Sunday. I thought the turn out was great. A really good mix of restored and modified Z cars. Gave me some good ideas for my own 1970. I was a little disapointed in the fact that MSA didnt set up any booths to buy parts. They had parts on display but you had to line up against this tiny counter with 100 other folks and have your order ready. I can do that from my fax machine at home! I wish they had parts on display and available for purchase at the booths. I couldnt even buy a poster unless I want to wait an hour at the inside counter. I hope they change that next year. Anyway, enjoy the photos. There are some really nice 240'…

Couple of questions about the front spoilers for 240Zs What are the choices? How much are they? What's the deal with painting them? Thanks

I have a '72 240 with 70,000 miles that runs like a top. I am not really interested (at least for now) in changing the motor to an L28. How much horsepower can one reasonably expect to gain from doing the following: 1) A "mild street cam" Motorsport calls this the 2000 to 6000 rpm cam with good idle. 2) A '74 N36 260Z intake manifold. 3) '72 carbs with SM needles and grosse jets 4) A header and 2-1/2 inch exhaust (probably a super trapp) Would this setup benefit noticably from a ported/polished/flow tested head? I also have an '83 5-speed that I plan to couple to a 3.90 or 4.11 rearend. I understand that this will "wake up" the car as well. Has anyone done anything si…

My Z is up and running finally. I had been considering a Z car and quickly snap one up when I saw an ad for a 74 260Z($700). It was supposed to be running but needed major electrical work. The owner claimed he had driven around the block a few times. I tried starting it but with no luck. It cranked real hard like it had a spun bearing or similar. Inspecting the oil showed too much oil plus fuel contamination. I remember the guy saying he rebuilt the carbs(flat tops). Probably not a good job. We pulled the engine and found all the insides in great shape including the bearings but after cleaning the block we discovered a crack under the manifold area and I decided not t…

This Zed was at the Rio Vista meet this year. The link to these pic's is http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=4291924083 Anyway....does anyone know who owns the BLUE Zed ?....just a wild stab in the dark really. Nice little 1/4 airdam...looks like it's home made or it is? Haven't seen that one about at all...any ideas if it's commercially available? Those wheels look like 17's to me...what do you think? For some reason I can't attach the pic so here is the link instead. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid18/pa0d8eaf358adbe8bd46ce2812ce13b3b/fdd2f6e0.jpg.orig.jpg

I could probably find it out in my manual, but this way is so much more fun My car is a 71, and in the center the three lever things are like this: ------ AIR ------- HEAT VENT OFF ------ TEMP ----- HEAT ------ OFF --------DEF ------ ROOM ----- DEF Whereas BadDog's '73 interior looks like this: ------ AIR ------- OFF VENT ??? ------ TEMP ----- COLD ------ ??? --------DEF ------ DEF ----- FLO?? Minor changes I know, but I would like to know how my levers should be set *normally* ie when I dont want the demister (which, in my car, is hopeless) activated. So yeah, a pretty huge post with a lot of unecessary text, hehe

I'm looking for some feedback on the difference/preferences between the K & N air filters VS. the Longflo air filters VS. Stock. Anyone know where to get a braded hose kit (brakes) for less than $120?

I've noticed that some people have installed front panel side mirrors on their Z's. Personally, I'm undecided if this enhances the appearance of the Z. Does anyone care to provide their opinions?
