I have a (N36) intake, 240z ballance tube on a great 2.8 motor. Rotation assembly is balanced, its really well set up all around, ignition, stage one cam, etc.. I dont know much about nitros except that its usually used with turbo motors as it cools intake aswell as adding the horsepower. Are there kits for datsun's .i.e non aspirated?, injectors sylnoid switches etc.. sorry for spelling. Is it a good idea? Come on lord just give me the magic solution of more power at the touch of a button!! Thanks!

Hey everyone, OK, I finally got a chance to do what I wanted to from the start... real-time survey results! This means that every time you view the results page it will be up-to-the-second stats. The survey has 229 respondents now. You can experience this marvel of modern technology here: 350Z Pre-Order Survey Results http://www.brackethead.com/350zsurvey/results/ NOTE: this is a new URL, different from the old results page. Also, I added some stats for average age -- overall, by model, and by color. Hope you enjoy it! If you haven't signed up yet or don't know what I'm talking about, go to <a hr…

Ahh another wonderful question. I'll run it real quick, I've got a 73 240 with a well set up deap breathing 2.8 litre. Theres a description under the thread (webers) I've got a stock R-180, I want an lsd but also want the 3.9, the turbo zx 3.7lsd is to high and the 4.11lsd from the front diff of the nissan 4x4 is to low. Anyone know how I can get a 3.9lsd without paying a small fortune? PLus are R-200's better or beefier than the R-180? Thanks a lot. with my rear end dillema, heh heh gotta love punns right?

I am contemplating the installation of a rear sway bar on my Z . What I am wondering is , is there anyone out there that has done this and what was the difference in handeling and ride? This dosn't appear to be to hard of a Mod. there are what appears to be hangers on the underbody from the factory . This '73 is a vary late car according to the info on the door . I am presently satisfied with the ride but can see where there is room for much improvement in the twisties as I get some bottoming out and body role on hard cornering , I just do not want to sacrifice to much of the good ride in day to day driving. I do not race or plan to ,just want a solid driver. Any info. a…

So I was told when I bought my car that neither the hand throttle nor the choke were connected, so until now I never even tried. I tried it just cos I got curious today, and to my surprise the hand throttle does work.... My car seems to be a 240 series 2, except for the centre console bit which I guess has been replaced at some stage... The thing is, I would have thought when they removed teh hand throttle control, they would have removed all the mechanics behind it too, to save money and time. My question is, does anybody know if the mechanical components to do with the hand throttle were still left in the series 2 cars, or if not would it be reasonably simple to instal…

  7. This is gonna be cool... Well, here I go again it seems...anyone ever seen "The Blues Brothers" where they're on a mission from God? Well, Im on a mission from the Z Gods...haha... I have located a repulsively crusty '76 2+2 in all its metallic green and mold colored glory sitting in the dirt driveway of a truckers trailer home. Oh man, this is gonna be great. Another money pit--I dont know why Im so excited here!!! Its been sitting for 10 years, accumulated enough filth on it to grow a garden, yet its all original minus the basket wire wheels and dry rotted tires. Every last emblem, interior, motor piece you name it...still there. Oh boy, oh boy! Ive been assured …

please correct me if i'm wrong as i do not know a whole lot about 240z's yet but the 280zx came with a turbocharged l28 rite? and if it did, can that be swapped into a 240Z without any major problems? also, some posts i've read that a common thing to do is to put a l28 n/a into a 240z and keep it carburated(is it not already) in doing the latter swap, how much of a hp gain would there be and how much work(money) would be needed to get the n/a l28 to push the 240Z into high 13's or low 14's in the 1/4 mi.? i'm still quite new to these cars so any and all help/opinions would be great....i hope to learn a lot more about these cars as i am going to purchase one as soon as i …

Well, my exhaust is on his way to die... The wrap-around is worn to the point that it pops-in and out when the car runs cold with the choke.. Not a beautiful sound.. What are my options (brand, etc) and my car has a 2.5 inches pipe from the lower OEM headers to the end, no resonator), and I do not want to order anything in the States because of the exchange rate that is killing me and the fees at the CND customs also.. Help please.

Does anybody else have the MSA "turbo" exhaust fitted up to the stock exhaust manifold on their 240? I just got mine installed at a local shop, and they had a bear of a time getting it to fit (no directions either). They said everything was fine until they had to mount the muffler... it's mounted at a slightly off angle, so the exhaust tip is a little crooked ... FWIW I got the aluminized version. I can post a picture tonight or tomorrow if needed...
