TOKYO, April 25 (Reuters) - Nissan Motor Co (7201), Japan's third-largest automaker, will boost its group workforce by 4,000 in the year from April 1, the first increase since the 1999 launch of its revival plan, the Asahi Shimbun said on Thursday. The newspaper said Nissan -- which has seen a dramatic turnaround since chief executive Carlos Ghosn was sent in by French partner Renault SA (RENA) in 1999 -- would hire new workers to boost its technological capabilities and gear up for a boost in U.S.-based production. No one could immediately be reached for comment at Nissan, which is expected to have posted record profits in the business year that ended on March 31. Ghosn …

I have a question about car ins. is there a company out there that will provide a policy for the proper value of the car. I bought my Z a '73 for only $500. but have like most of us put much more than that into it. Before I spend $600. on body work and $1500. on paint I want to find out what I can expect from an insurance co . , after the work is all done and I get T - boned , that is becides the shaft. I presently have Farmers . I have AAAA driving record , zero tickets , no accidents, in last 40 +yrs. , and the Z is an occasional driver, at least as far as they are concerned. I also have a truck and my wife has her own car. Any input is apriciated thanks .

I am not a great mechanic, but have had suprisingly good results in restoring my old 240Z. However, I have not found a good source of information on proper torque settings (especially on suspension parts). I have tried various sources, but know that what I have compiled from them is not a complete listing. ANY IDEAS WHERE I COULD GET THE COMPLETE LISTINGS? THANKS!

So I'm just driving down the road, minding my own business, and BAM! there's this fenced lot with a Z in it...and then another and more....How do you find out who owns a piece of property. No names, no signs or nothing... I stood on my lumber rack to get this pic...I counted 8... And there's a couple more over here... steve77

Hi all, First of all, I'd like to say well done on the site. It's well laid out and there can never be enough Z sites. With the 350z on the way, it should be up and running smoothly for a new generation of Z owners. Why this thread? Well, I want to buy a Z. I'm tucked away in Ireland at the moment, and have been searching for different types for awhile, almost importing a blue 260z last year. But anyway, I have a few stupid questions about the car in general, if anyone could answer them for me: 1: In your opinion in terms of looks/speed/cred which Z is best among the 240/260/280? Were all the versions just 2 seaters or were there 2+2's aswell? 2: Perspex lens covers, I've…

Hello everybody I've been meaning to post this for a while, just in case anybody is interested. As a result of coming across a crashed Silvia (200sx) cheap (US$50), I found myself with a spare FJ20 driveline. As the old L26 in my Z could easily be beated off the line by a good pushbike (no joke - it actually happened!), and the Silvia was a pretty quick car before it was crashed, I figured why not make the most of what I had! The swap wasn't hard, took about 8 weeks of nights and weekends, and included: * making engine mounts * gearbox crossmember * wiring the ecu * cutting into the tank to fit a submerged fuel pump * making mounts to fit the Silvia radiator * p…

I have '73 240z and recently purchased a pair of roundtop 4 screw carbs. I also got the throttle linkage for my carbs. I noticed that the carbs don't seem to have a spring that makes the butterflys close when there is no pressure applied to the throttle linkage (unlike my flattops which have that). When I start my car the butterflys open up on their own. I think that there is suppose to be a spring so that my car doesn't throttle by itself. Am I right? If not, what's wrong? Also, if I push on the gas pedal, it will stay at the point where I stopped pushing. Making it dangerous to drive, since I would have to pull up on the pedal to decelerate. I think that if my spring i…
