Okay, I've always wanted to ask this. What do you LISTEN to when driving your Z? I am speaking of a particular band, a particular genre (pop, rock, et), a particular song? What? For me, it all depends on my mood. If I want to take a leisurely drive to the Oregon coast, I'll pop in some Classical music. However, if I want to put my foot down and drive with white knuckles the whole way... I'll put in something like Static X or Rob Zombie. :eek: What about you?

Hi all, Well, after flushing the radiator and all, the car seems fine. No sign of headgasket failure i feared when my coolant was bubbly/foamy. However, driving to work today, the temp gauge stayed right at 180 most of the time, but on occasion would "sway" from 150 or 160 back to 180. Doesn't jump around, but does move considerably (maybe 1/4"?). I assume the thermostat is opening & "colder" coolant then flows through causing lower temps. But then the oil pressure gauge kinda sways around too. Mostly at 60psi, but does move around more than ever before. So, am i just being paranoid & noticing more because my eyes are glued to the gauges, or should i chase down th…

Hi Folks, My Z is on the road!!! My first one. After sitting a few years I got it back on the road, rebuilt carbs,new brakes,fluid changes etc. Been driving it in the 'hood with no problems so i took it to work this morning. It died, kinda. It's like you shut of the ignition switch. Boom dead. Then after cranking it over a few minutes it starts. Five minutes later, boom dead. I'm thinking some electrical is heating up. Ballast resistor? Points condensor? Any Ideas? Thanx

I ended up seeing quite a tax return this year. It was really quite a shocker to know how much money I'd get back because of all the money I gave the bank on interest for my home. Anyway, I'm going to spend my refund on the Z. First thing is to get my dash shipped of to AUS for the re-cover. Or, do you guys know if I can still get a new one from Nissan? Second, I need to purchase wiring harnesses for the engine bay and interior. Same question... can we still get these new? If not, who makes good aftermarket wiring harnesses? I'll save the other questions for later. Believe me, I've got more.

Wazup guys , I just order a new cam kit at MOTORSPORT AUTO and they told me that I need to check the Piston to Valve clearance , now can anyone tell me how can I do this I have an idea how to do it , but I was hoping that someone have used the kind of cam I using , The setup that I have in my car is stock , stock pistons , its not been rebore , an E31 head L24 block . The cam is a 560 lift and 290 duration , Im taking my head to the machine shop so I can get a better or higher compression ratio than stock , now can anyone help me here I'll apreciated , thanks ...

Guys, the wierdest thing is happening to me when I drive my Z, something totally unexpected and I'm still trying to figure out how to deal with it. Everywhere I go, people look at me. Every time I stop at a red light, people are looking at me. When I park the car at the grocery store, people stop to talk to me about my car. I spent the day with my son today at a lacrosse tournament, and spent at least as much time talking about my car as watching him play lacrosse. I can't go to Burger King w/o having to talk to someone. And the gas station? Good lord. Car buffs come out of the woodwork when I pull up to the pump. Don't get me wrong - it's not that I don't want to talk to…

I've seen a picture before of a z in MSA with the headlight covers painted to the color of the car..but then is there another soultion to installing a separate set of headlights anywhere on the grill or something..Does that make sense..? Ak

Hi all, this may get a bit rambly, but its Spring in NY (finally) and Z-fever is in full bloom! Got out my 74 1/2 260, SU carbs-N36 intakes Thursday. In the fall, i had a coolant leak (very slight). The car has 2 coolant lines which run through the intakes, the line that went through the old carbs has been blocked off. I would notice the sickening sweet smell of hot antifreeze- seemed to weep from one of the front water hoses that go into the manifold, then ran along and dripped onto the exhaust manifold and/or exhaust pipe. So, i got both water pipes from Courtesy, drove the car a bit, and it doesn't leak that i can find now! I changed the oil, it was perfect, no cool…
