Hey, I'm looking at 240z for my first car, but was wondering what the difference between the models of each year are. From the looks of it, the body shape makes really small changes, but that might just be my crap eyes. But, is there any other engine, gear box etc differences that I should be aware of before looking for my prize?

TOKYO, April 10 (Reuters) - Japan's third-largest automaker, Nissan Motor Co Ltd, said on Wednesday it expected record profits in the current fiscal year that began on April 1. "Even though (fiscal) 2001 will be a record year, 2002 will be even better," Nissan President Carlos Ghosn told reporters. Nissan, 44.4 percent owned by France's Renault SA (RENA), has said it will post record net, recurring, and operating profits in the year ended March 31. Ghosn did not specify which type of profit he was referring to for 2002/03. The optimistic outlook is partly based on the fact Nissan has a much larger pipeline of new products for the present year. Ghosn made the comments afte…

Does anyone know if there are any rallys or part swap meets in or near oklahoma coming up? It seems all the meets and shows are in California or on the East Coast. Would anyone have an interest in setting one up? I live in stillwater and the Oklahoma Z club just met here las month. I could not attend unfortunately. I'm sure a big park in Oklahoma City or Tulsa would be cool or even here in Stillwater, which is located centrally in the state. So...IS ANYONE WITH ME!!

Hi all, transferring this from the "introduce yourself" thread, to get Alex an answer: Hi: my name is Alex and I have been a z-holic for one week now. Bought a nice clean and straight 240Z from a friend for $800. No major rust, the engine runs well (needs the carbs tuned though), and the interior is clean and uncut. No interest in restoring this car to pristine beauty but looking to build it up for back country rally racing. I look forward to pestering many of ya'll for help. BTW would installing Weber Carbs and a N36 intake improve my performance greatly over the stock carbs?

Hello fellow Zers New to the game here. Just picked up a 72 and am currently going through it. (It's been sittin' around a few years) I am not able to get one of the drums off. Backed off the adjuster, soaked with wd-40 and beat the tar out of it with a soft blow hammer. Ok, I started with some gentle taps. Tried heatn' it, pullin it and pryn' it. Any other ideas? Seems like a real tight tolerance around the axle. Helpp! Thanks Dave

Ok, the valve was nothing big, the adjustment backed itself ALL the way off, and I'm not kidding this happened almost instantly, which was a first for me... SO, while the spindle sits is penetrating oil for the second week now, which by the way I need that name for the guy that has the pullers for $35????? Now, onto the carbs. What all does a person need to switch from the flat tops to the smaller rounds? Is it just the throttle linkage? and if so does anybody have a set up for sale? Thanks all and happy Sunday! Ohh I love that spindle.......
