The Motorsport Auto show is coming in May. Anyone going to it? I'm thinking about it, but, not sure what will happen with my work. I'm supposed to make a trip to Australia sometime before June. But, not quite sure when that will be yet. I'd love to go to the show and promote the club!! If any of you are going to show off your Z, I'd love to talk with you about possibly promoting the Internet 240z Club somehow.... [m]

I feel with this most recent wave of interest over the 240Z has yet to peak, and for good reason. When you consider the 240's bang-for-the-buck, you have one of the best deals on four wheels! It's definitely a standout amongst the uninspiring "cookie-cutter" vehicles littering our malls and roller rinks today. Now, I have never picked so much as two super lotto numbers, so needless to say I cannot afford a 1963, Ferrari Lusso, SWB 250 GTO, so for me the 240Z is the next best thing. I mean it is the best thing, in my case anyway. No sour grapes here. I couldn't push a $850,000 Ferrari through cork screws and enjoy it. I certainly couldn't sleep at nights with a Ferrari pa…

The ongoing recovery at Nissan has been recognised by hard-nosed investors to the effect that shares in the company hit a 6-year high on Tokyo's Nikkei. The shares have now doubled in value since the merger with Renault, and indication of how far they had fallen before Carlos Ghosn launched his rescue plan. Nissan recently said that the company was a year ahead of its planned recovery programme, and news that the all-new March (Micra in some markets) has received 25,000 domestic orders in the first week has added to the euphoria, although a modicum of caution must always be applied to orders in the first few weeks, as many could be dealer driven. Nevertheless, the aura ar…

This is a duplicate post to one in "For Sale", but wanted to make sure it was noticed. Sorry to be a pest, but... I've got an L24 with a four speed transmission attached from a `72 sitting in the way. It is NOT the original motor from the car, but had been replaced by previous owner (if that matters to you). Therefore, mileage on the motor is low, but it has been sitting for awhile. If you want it, all I ask is that you come get it or make arrangements to have someone get it. It is in Hollister, CA. If you're wondering, that's Central Cal, about an hour south of San Jose. Contact me at: daddio@rattfink.com

Hello all, I've located a 71 in Texas that appears to be pretty clean and well cared for, and I'd like to get some thoughts on the potential value of this car. The stats: 71 240 2nd owner purchased in 84 Bare metal resto in 90. Rust in floor area removed, replaced with metal from a 240 parts car's roof section. Original SU's and head with 280 block approx 15,000 miles on engine. Engine clean, but not immaculate. 5 speed A/C, but requires a new dryer(?) Interior very sharp Exterior very sharp EXCEPT for a slight fracture in the paint where the B pillar meets the door and a spot of rust developing on one of the hatch vents. Rebuilt suspension with urethane bushings. The ca…

I started to replace all of my rubber bushings with urethane today. I learned a few things to make the process easier and I ended up wondering some stuff too. I'm hoping someone can learn a little bit from my experience and I can maybe learn something from my questions that follow. I replaced the steering coupler and swaybar endlinks. The coupler seemed pretty easy and would have been easier if I had figured out that jacking the car up first would allow me simple access to the nuts and the ability to turn the steering shaft with little effort. I figured this out after a half hour battle trying to reconnect the shafts in vein. Every time I tried to align the pieces…

Yesterday I was going to a mates to check out his 260 when I saw what looked like a -previosly- spotless orange/gold 260 that had been T-boned on the drivers side, it was on a trailer going the other way. I considered turning around but my old man wouldn't hear of it. ( hes into VW's ) <end mindless time filling drivel> now let us all lower heads and pray for this unfortunate Zed........

Hi gang, I'm new here and was not even aware that this group existed until today. Needless to say I'm thrilled to have discovered it! I'm from Victoria, BC, Canada and I've joined because my wife has a 1972 240Z she has had for the past 27 years. She is the third owner of the car and has had it since she was 15. You do the math! Her older brother owned it for a year before her and then sold it to her. I think he bought it used from a dealer. Anyway, she drove it until about 10 years ago and then we parked it with the intention of sometime doing a complete restoration on it. Well, it's not going to happen as we have neither the time or money to do it, so we are now …

Has any one got some pics of what a 240 looks like after being lowered 1" and 2 " inches on 15" rims. Also what size and profile 15" tyre can you safely run without rubbing and without having to mess the the speedo.
