I am in the process of cleaning up my Z after a 12 year "nap". I am planning on pulling the fenders and painting the undersides. I am using black POR-15 on the frame and bottom of the floorpan but am undecided as to what color to paint the inner fenderwells. Any input would be appreciated.

O.K., what is the deal with clocks anyway, why do they always break?? I really don't even need it. Are there any suggestions for a different gauge to go in it's place? Something useful? I was hoping someone would know why they are always failing. Thanks, Zlish:(

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I heard that the Mikunis are street-friendly in that they have vacuum advance port so you can use the vacuum advance on the distributor. I have a set to install on my project 240 and would like to hear some opinions pro and con. I also have a Cannon manifold(long)and think that this would increase torque. Any thoughts?

Just a quick reminder. Since there appeared to be a bit of confusion over our last deadline, we at Sport Z Magazine want to make it clear that subscription orders received *on or before* March 1, 2001 will start with our Spring issue, which features 13 pages on the new Z including comments from members of 240Z.org. We also highlight a Z31 barnburner and take you step-by-step through a carb tune (love those Hitachis). Orders received after March 1 will start with our Summer 2001 issue. For a full preview and ordering information, visit our web site at www.sportzmagazine.com. Thanks. Dave Bexfield editor@sportzmagazine.com

Drive through Tokyo these days and you see them everywhere: zippy little automobiles that look like bumper cars for grown-ups. Quirky subcompacts such as Toyota Motor Corp.'s pod-shaped Vitz and Honda Motor Co.'s insect-like Fit are huge hits in Japan, providing a rare piece of good news for an industry that will sell 0.7% fewer vehicles at home this year than last. So where has Nissan Motor Co. (NSANY ) been while Toyota and Honda were cleaning up with the Vitz and Fit? Carlos Ghosn, the former Renault executive who now runs Nissan, ruefully explains: "This is a segment where we didn't renew our [lineup] as quickly as we should have." Now Nissan has a chance to make up f…

TOKYO, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Three years after getting together in a whirlwind romance, Japan's Nissan Motor Co Ltd (7201) and partner Renault SA (RENA) of France have their first baby -- the new March subcompact, or the Micra as it is called in Europe. The first vehicle to be born from a platform -- the underbody and engine compartment -- shared by the two automakers, the Nissan March will also have much of Nissan's brand name riding on its sales performance. "Today I can say that Nissan is ready for growth," Nissan Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn said as he launched the new vehicle in Tokyo on Tuesday. Nissan has come a long way since March 1999 when Renault took a 36.8 perce…

In-car platform will be centred on DoCoMo's 3G mobile network, offering maps and information Nissan Motor and mobile telecoms giant NTT DoCoMo have said they will team up to develop a system to deliver maps, weather information, news and entertainment to cars. The companies said on Tuesday they would combine their respective strengths to create an in-car information platform centred on DoCoMo's advanced third-generation (3G) mobile network. 3G's fast transmission speeds offer access to rich Internet content on top of video and music downloads. The companies said they aimed to launch the service in 2003. The announcement came after the end of stock market trading, altho…

A couple of tips I thought you guys may like. The horn button DATSUN as well as the glove box chrome is long gone.Geta can of spray chrome.Blast about 2or 3 seconds into can top.Touch the filter end of an unused cigarette into the lid. When you touch it to those locations the paint will only adhere to the high surfaces. It doesn't drip .I used that method to do the brake lines under the hood. It's fun, easy .When it wears it so easy to redo. All the emblems can be done this way as well as the fuse door(73).The chrome on the door panels is fixed by going to your home depo type store and getting hvac(heat/AC)tape.This tape is an aluminum foil duct tape.Armorall your door panel.Us…
