As much as I love my 240z my yearning to drive and own other cars never rests. There are many dream cars on my list such as a Lamboghini Countach, Mirua, Ferrari Testarossa, and more. However, there are plenty of "normal" and affordable cars I would like to own as well. Which brings me to my question for all of you, what normal car would you own if you did not have your Z? Why do you want the car or what is special about it to you? For me the next car on my list is a complete departure from the lightweight sportiness of the Z car. For the last several months I have come very close to buying a 1990 - 1992 Cadillac Brougham with the D' Elegance package, 350 V8, wit…

I only saw a post from 2005 about this so forgive me if I should be posting elsewhere - I have two VIN numbers for cars I'm purchasing - But I thought the one car was a '72 though the current owner is telling me that it's a '76. Can anyone confirm the model and year by these VIN's? HLS30-04044 and XS3 0T6285475. Thank you!

So, I am looking for a 240z in my area, and its taking awhile due to a lack of 240zs in my area and a meager budget. But when I do purchase, I plan on creating a mechanically accurate Wangan Midnight Devil Z replica with a blueprinted 2.8L (and I mean actually blueprinted, all the way around) carbureted twin turbo. Yet should I start restoring the body or modifying the drivetrain? I don't live in an area with a lot of salt and its pretty arid here normally, so if I don't restore the body first I should be alright? What would you do if you had a Z and could only restore the body or the drivetrain? Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Bear with me, this could get interesting! I had an idea last night while watching the news. Some poor soul had lost everything in a fire and was being supported by a crowd funding page to help them restart heir lives. Then it hit me! What if we were to treat the Z community like a family? What if we, as Z owners and caretakers treated every Z project as one of our own? We already are there for the owners, restorers with helpful tips and hints, even physical assistance when possible. If each member of the Z community (classicZcar forum members especially) were to support the restoration project of other (vetted) members, we could potentially make it possible fo…

Congrats to the 240z! For those of you into gaming, Gran Turismo will be modeling Sung Kang's SEMA winner to their lineup of cars.
