Checked it out Saturday. Great car show. No Z432's this time but lots of Datsun's. A bunch of Z's, roadsters, 510's, 510 wagons, and trucks including a totally unrestored beat up old truck with a Nissan twin cam swapped in. Saw a bad Celica with a big belt driven blower on the Toyota engine. Not as many Skylines this year, maybe more next time. A trio of Honda 600's - one showroom stock resto 600- you could almost get the new car smell. Had the dealer price sticker on there too, about $1300 new. Saw a Honda Monkey scooter, too. My cam crapped out - after one shot my 8 gig chip was filled up so no photos this time, seemed to enjoy it just as much though. My favor…

Hi all, I have just purchased the car I've always dreamed of having. Yes, a 240z. 1973 to be exact. It will be a project car for my 18 year old and me. Hopefully he will get it when he gets through Air Force boot camp and stationed in the states. My question is about the rareness of this car we found. I truly believe the owner has had it for the last 30 years, with a brief hiatus to his son-in-law. From all looks it is true to it's original 39000 miles. It was undercoated and rot free. Amazing for Michigan! It has been unmolested except for spoked rims. To me, all the original parts are there except for a new fuel pump and slave. I have been reading all I can about the…

Just curious......two weekends ago i saw a large group of Z cars heading up hwy 33, out of Ojai Ca. My two friends and i had just finish riding up and down Ortega trail on trials bike (really fun by the way). I just wish I had been with them!!!! Some really nice Z's and a couple of GTR's made up the group.......anyone know anything about this? Tom

Here in CA we're stuck with 91 octane max, reformulated gas, ethanol, all stuff to supposedly reduce emissions. But almost everybody seems to accelerate and drive fast. With low-performance gas you have to stomp harder on the gas to go as fast as you would with better gas. So everybody does. Doesn't that equate to using more gas (and so, more emissions) with the crappy gas?

I went out to the Braselton Bash today at YearOne. While you would think it would be mostly a muscle car show, they do like to see other types of cars there, too. We had a pretty good showing of Z cars there. See all of the pictures here: Braselton Bash ? November 2013 (150 Pictures) | Steve's CARtography. Hey, every family has a black sheep.

Today was the show day for Z Nationals. The place was packed with a long line that formed early. It was a great day for a car show, too. Enjoy the pictures: Z Nationals ? 2013 | Steve's CARtography

Wow it's been so long since I was last here. I feel like the new guy posting for the first time Anyways, what brought me back was to share this sweet video I just found tonight on you tube. Maybe some of you have seen it already. It's from a show called Moto-man where they did a 40th anniversary show on the Z with the Legendary Mr K. A must see for all Z Car Lovers. I felt like it would be a sin to not post it on here. Enjoy and hope all is well, (hope the link works) Jared <iframe width="853" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/9ZdTDZVmJ8U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It was another great day for Caffeine & Octane in the Atlanta area today. There were several Classic ZCar Club members in attendance including Pete Thomas, Pat Carr, Joe Travis, and Hodge. Aside from a great turnout of S30s, including two fantastic examples restored by Chet Whittel, the Cannonball Run Mercedes made an appearance. Pete is a minor celebrity now since the film crew for C&O interviewed him and took many pictures and lots of video of his car for their monthly feature. If you are in the Atlanta area, you really should try to come out. C&O is a show unlike any other. Caffeine and Octane ? November 2013 Edition (295 pictures) | Steve's CARtography …

Hey ya'll. I just picked up a 1971 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale for my project and DD while my Z is being finished in the shop(s). HOWEVER, I am having issues with the wiring within it. It appears that someone cut some of the electrical i order to keep more power under the hood. This being said, now my windows won't budge and my top won't go down either. I was hoping someone might know anything about this or where I could find a good wiring diagram. If there is anyone locally here in Sacramento, Ca I am willing to compensate for your help. Please hit me up with any words of wisdom.

Hi all, After seeing some of the commentary on tweaks to this site over the years, I figure this crowd is pretty decent about identifying the Good, Bad, and Ugly on websites. I may regret this, but I'm hoping I can solicit some user feedback on two automotive-based sites I've recently finished/ nearing completion on: 1) London Auto Services, Ltd. (almost done) BLUF: Northern VA-based shop focusing on all order of classics. Details: Really old-school place. Owner wanted the site to (a) tell his story [still building], ( provide a place for him to sell cars [i'd say we're at 95% there], and © provide a place for him to sell parts, if desired. Looking for feedback on t…
