Despite notices on the web site and in other places, some folks are a little upset that betamotorsports.com is no more. Remember, I sold the company back in March. I'm doing fine working at Benton Performance (Benton Performance) and we do work on S30s. I've kept the Betamotorsports Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/BetaMotorsports-LLC/143989191670) and will update that from time-to-time. And, don't worry, I'll still be posting trite and obnoxious things on this forum.

I remember getting the leather key holder with a snap closure with the keys to my new 1971 240z almost 38 years ago. Looking throught Kat's web site, I noticed that he has this key holder ( Of Course he has one!!!! ). Has anyone else managed to save or salvage one of these key holders? It might be pretty simple to have something like this duplicated, a fun accessory for an original 240z. I can't remember if it was embossed or stamped with any logo or lettering, and can't tell in Kat's picture. He shows a picture of his under a listing of "Original Details" on his home page at www.geocities.jp/datsunz903/ The part number on the Parts CD under miscellaneous is 8…

This alternator was in a box of parts that came with the 240z that I recently sold. It needs new bearings for sure but overall appears to be in good shape. Does anyone know if it a factory original or a parts store rebuild? Is there any market for original components like these for restorers?

Some pics from Japan: A mid to late 60's Chev truck. The town is Kamogawa...a beach and surf spot. Not sure what this is. It was in the hotel lot when going to work. Reminds me of a spider (insect) and a bit like a Jag/Morgan blend. Another cutie I missed. It looks bland like a small Suzuki but it has tail lights like a fairlady roadster and a nice chrome front grill. The rear split bumper is stylish too. Sorry I couldn't get better shots as it was a phone.... not a camera. The land of Cute Daihatsu Copen. A very small but cool convertible. I think there is a business case to open a dealership in NA if the Fiat 500 can. Note the "Giant Prius" beside it…

I have come across a few 260Z that seems to be demanding less money than a 240, I know that they are not the same, the dash , console , the rear lights , door cards, front grill/parking lights, the bumpers plus a few more . But some of the 240Z look can be ease to do , I have seen some with the rear lights and bumper retrofit, to me that is the right look for this sport car. So lets see of a nice, clean, upgraded with looks plus performance goodies shows up in my hunt.

After getting up way early yesterday to go to Z Nationals, there was only one thing to do today. That was to get up early again and go to Caffeine & Octane. It was great weather and great cars. What a way to spend a weekend. Caffeine & Octane ? October 2013: Up All Night (311 pictures) | Steve's CARtography
