I'm trying to help my dad with his herd of Mazda B2200 trucks. I picked up a DGV and wish to make a simple workhorse that has just a carb and a self contained ignition system (battery, key, coil, distributor, igniter) like one can do with the ZX distributor swap. The early B2000's (pre-84) seem to have this possibility but post 84, the B2000's 2200's and 2600's get progressively more complex. There is a late 80's period where the ignition looks like this: The question I have is: Does the igniter in the distributor sink the coil -neg to gnd via the distributor body (not shown) or does the engine-speed-control-switch act as the ignition module and sink the coil -neg…

I notice when driving in the Z that all the modern cars are much bigger and taller... I was thinking what this has got to do with ? Did the people grow larger and the cars grow with them, or they just made cars smaller back then? I mean when I stand next to a modern small car, it looks big from the seat of my Z..

Looks like HONDA is preparing 1.5l 132hp sport car to replace S2000. Sounds good, but the design is not my taste. S30 is 1000 times better looking.

Hi, there. I am new to this site. I had a 260z years ago, and I am shopping around for another Z as we speak. Aside from ClassicZCars, I am also perusing a couple of other Z related sites, one of which is HybridZ. I have only been perusing Z related sites for a couple of days. Yesterday, suddenly, the HybridZ site was blocked by Avast! as being infected. I followed up with AVG, which also said the site was infected. Thinking this is something the admin of HybridZ would want to know, I posted a message in the site support forum, like so: A few minutes ago, I went to check HybridZ to see if the problem had been addressed, only to discover that my login had been banned and …

Guys, This isn't Datsun related, but an interesting article about the first Mustang sold. The First Mustang Ever Sold Still In Original Family's Hands The article stated the car hasn't been appraised yet since the restoration, so I wonder what the value is? Robert S.

Can't find Castrol HD 30 wt for the last few months at Autozone, Pep Boys, or O'Reilly. They used to always have it. Anyone know what happened? Been using that in the summer for a while, figured it's good for long high speed trips where it's 110-115 F in the shade all day. I put 10W-30 in the winter but it's still hot.
