OK, so you want to build a display or sign with information about your car to hang on an easel so people can read it... I have a large lexan sheet with the bottom bent back like a foot to support the thing on the ground or a table, and the sign is a big sheet of vinyl (about 20 x 22 inches) with stuff printed on it at the copy center. The problem is; how do you stick the vinyl to the lexan? You could tape it on the edges, which looks sloppy. You could use double-sided tape around the perimeter, but you'd have to put a few strips in the center to support the center, and that will stick out too. What other options are there, besides using a backing of plywood, card or mor…

My friend and I have been bringing cars into Eastern Canada for many years for our club members and for Datsun enthusiasts across Canada. We are located at an autoport on the western side of the Atlantic and shipping a car to an European port is ~ $1,500 USD We would like to start exporting Datsuns and other cars to European buyers and we would like to find car enthusiasts with entrepreneurial drives in western European countries. Restored classic automobiles are at depressed prices here in Eastern Canada due to the historically poorer economy. Fair profits and low prices to the buyers is the basic business model. Please contact if interested. Here is a car we shipp…

Hi all, I've been putting some work into our old store project. I'm proud to say that I've successfully launched a new store!! This new system will give us a lot more capabilities to represent products as well as bring in products from Amazon and eBay to help us with various fund raisers. I'm excited to see the new format and curious to see what you think. I was wondering if some of you could help me test it? I'm interested in previous customers access to the site. The new database was migrated from our old store and your login should still exist. Please see if you can test the "forgot password" feature as well as the look to see if your past orders are still in th…

If you don't want to spend hours checking out a big glossy mag from Japan filled with amazing Z cars, engines, Z parts catalogs etc., don't plunk down $26 for this issue. S30-31, S130, Z31 & Z32's but mostly early Z's. Just got paid, checked the car mags at the local book store next to Marukai and there it was, wow. Published by Kotsu Times Sha Co., LTD. 130 pages. Don't know how long it will be in the mag rack, so .....

Interesting event happened this week. Our commander in chief (like him or not) has signed a rule mandating that automakers get to 54.5 MPG by the year 2025. Here's an article, post more if you've got them. http://www.sfgate.com/business/bloomberg/article/Obama-Completes-54-5-MPG-U-S-Fuel-Economy-3821627.php

How many of you actually remember when we opened our doors on the Internet as the 240z.org (or Internet 240z Club)? That was waaaay back in 1998. Interesting thing is, we actually got started in 1996 as a mailing list. Anyway, I was rummaging through some old domain information this evening and happened across this page: http://www.240z.org/whatsnew.htm Here's a link to our main page (frozen in time just after I made a move to something they called a "forum script" back in the day): http://www.240z.org/default.htm Some of those posts are cracking me up. I think one of them I talk about how upgrading from 64MB to 128MB of memory was a DEAL at $220! That was a l…

As the title says, I'm going to be pulling my motor and tranny to do a complete rebuilt and transplant from a dead 260 to my running 260 in my home garage and I would love any help that anyone can give me, either advice/recommendations or even hands on if you're in the Sacrameto, Ca (916) area. Please don't be shy on being blunt about your opinions bc this will be my first of atleast 3 engine rebuilds on the classic engines (I own 2 engines and am looking into picking up a 3rd) Thanks for looking in

whats up with all the horrible NW shops? ive been let down with bills datsun shoppe thats located locally here in Portland Oregon and I also thought Datsun Parts LLC was reliable. But the more I search the more crap I find. Im just looking for a shop to maybe do some head work on my p79 or replace some body panels that have rust. I dont need much else, Im very mechanically inclined. I know ztherapy, they rebuild my SU carbs and did a FINE job. But thats the only service they provide and the body guy they know went mechanical. So is there any specialist shops left in the NW or body shops that are worth a damn????
