Hi Guys, hopefully someone here can help me out and save a few hours trouble shooting I am putting the GT together to send it off to Brian in the States. The car didn't have the engine in it, but i took the working L24 out of my black parts car and stuck it in the GT. The engine fires up beautifully when the fuel feed and return is fed from a jerry can, however when it is plugged into the proper lines, it sucks petrol, however after a short while it seems to develop pressure in the system and this prevents it from pumping more fuel, and eventually it dies. I have tried taking off the gas cap (no help), and also running the return into a jerry can (while retaining the…

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about selecting spark plug wires? Does it really matter what kind of wire you get for your car? Do you need a certain set up with a Mallory Unilite Distributor and a MSD Blaster 2 coil, and MSD 6A?

Hi, Since I finished my turbo conversion, I'm having issue with my clutch slipping in 3rd, I've done some research and found that the 2+2 Z has a 240mm clutch, but since I live in Tassie, these would be harder to find that a 240K coupe, so what I'm after, are there any other Nissan / Datsun that has a 240mm clutch that will fit my 240K Nigel

Hi all, I have a 1977 DATSUN 240K GL sedan at home. It has been garaged and not driven for the last 12 years. It is all in original condition although the paintwork is a bit sad now, the body is straight, The vinyl roof is still very good. The interior is as it left the factory-perfect, even have the original radio & tape deck. The car has approx 67,000 km on the clock. My questions for Your feedback and advise are: (i) Should I hang on to it and restore it to its original condition. (ii) Should I modify the car for performance and looks, or, (iii) Should I get rid of the car-I've had it so long I think I might miss her?? Thanks Tonyasap (QLD Datty Owner:ermm:

It's quite interesting with these cars - we have one RB25DET conversion going on, a V8 monstrosity project, an SR20DET in the US and already one C110 converted to RB20 with triple webbers, among others... Quite a few different choices people have made! My engine is the original L24 still, and while it certainly sounds the part and goes alright it is getting a little tired and smokey. I'm on the verge of getting a full-time job which will change my lifestyle significantly and as such I don't really know what the future of my car is right now. What I do know is if I do get to keep it, I'll be swapping a different engine in. So I'd like to hear what you guys' opinions are on…

I am currently in the process of replacing my L28 N42 valve bushings. I was wondering, since I'm going to have the valve cover off, where I might be able to buy some new stock valve springs. Also, would I need to replace the valve cover seal? And, after I replace the valve springs, do I have to replace the valve retainers and lash pads as well?

Hi guys, i am afraid i am faced with a really tough descision.. i just bought a 1972 240Z (yes.. Z.. not K ). considering the prices 240Z's fetch here in OZ, i think i managed to grab a huge bargain!! My problem is, that i need to make some room and concentrate on one project at a time.. i can only work on my RB26 240K, and i know that realistically.. if i have a Z waiting in the wings.. that will be the next project.. so i am just not realistically going to get to restore my 240K GT any time soon (and it would be a shame to leave it sitting out in a field for the next 8+ years) So i am faced with selling here.. tuff, because i know how rare the GT is, and i really had…
