in middle east we've about 5 historic cars the C110 240K is one of them (2 restoration WS, another car like (what is below 1966 ford pickup), when I visited them in their unique restoration workshop I feel so shy and so sad (heart tear) (can't be eyes  !) specially when I see the Chassises here and their (without the body) are sandblasted straightened and strengthened and primary coated !!! (I say (but silently offfffffffffffffffff why that not in our K)) I start looking at the 8 rubbers that separated the bd f ch sadly!! have any one think about that ? you know with chassis the restoration become easier and cheaper and more funny. well some times I tell to my self i…

Hi Guys, I have just started on the convertible again. I've added a couple of before and after shots of one of the rusty sills you can see some of the box section chassis she's had attached. I'm about to pay $1200 + GST to get all the rust I've cut out welded up, I'll be doing the major sanding work and priming of the car. A friends workshop will do the colour finishing coats for free but he doesn't want to know about the rust work. Do you think $1200 is reasonable? there is about 3 days of work for a panelbeater to do. I have the V8 and supra 5 speed ready to go in, a 300zx r230 lsd, brakes, suspension and cradle. Although at the moment I only have a R31 front crossm…

friends, am i write ? (not avl in my K) is their a protection metal sheet under the L24 ?? well if it is, will be so helpful for the machine specially when driving on a nonasphalted roads? (speedy undirected stones will not reach)... why did I estimate that ? in 1996 I visited state of Bahrain (900km) afmv I saw un increadible C230 1978 when inspect it I found un original pms beneath the machine it was so firm (he owner chromed it !) so helpful (eventhough it may interrupt you changing the oil (I think that was the ( " minor ") reason pushed owners to remove it permanently ? - my request - from my teachers !- send it if u could (the detailed page from parts book ) or an a…

Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody has come across a place that sells the original trim (or one that fits and you wouldnt be able to tell the difference unless you where a perfectionist) that fits onto the steel wheels that came with the 240k? I only have 2/4 and have been having a casual look in wreckers but have had no luck so far. Ive looked at places like super cheap auto and autobarn for those new ones but none look even close to resembling the originals imo.

Hi Guys, is anyone here thinking of upgrading the rear drums to disks? i need to sell some parts to help me save for the next part of my project i am sure that these parts will be snapped up pretty quickly by the Z guys, but you guys have first pref. Firstly, i did a bit of research into what should be a simple conversion for rear brakes on Z's and 1600's as there is a tonne of info flying around for them, and they shouldn't be too much different to the 240K. The solution i found was similar to the common mod in the US, using maxima disks, calipers and early model caliper mounts. but instead, using DR30 skyline parts. i basically run out of time to find a 2nd DR30 ca…
